Placements and Internships
- I have done 1month internship as a trainee engineer in UNNATI CONSTRUCTION'S PVT. LTD.
- Companies like INFOSYS, HDFC BANK, PRIME MOVERS came for placement for last year.
- The average salary per year is Rs 1.44 lakh and the maximum salary figure is Rs 2.44 lakhs per annum.
- In 2012 batch, 40% got placed at AITM Bhatkal.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 4 hostels including for professors.
- The hostels are not of so good quality but it's adjustable.
- The hostel fee per month is Rs 1750 at AITM.
- There are no PGs available but one can live in a lodge on monthly rent basis with an average rent of Rs 3000/month.
- The food in the college is good for Karnataka and Kerala students but not for north Indian students.
- The food cost is about Rs 3000/month(minimum) at AITM.
- The quality of classroom, library and dining hall is good but of lab it is average, and the wifi is poor.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria for admission in BE(civil) are as follows:- 1) 60 % minimum in PSM in(+2) 2) written at least AIEEE/IIT JEE MAIN for other state students & for management and for Karnataka students KCET.
- I have written AIEEE.
- The typical cutoff for the course when I took admission in this branch was 75% for management & AIEEE students and 55-60% for KCET students.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine of college is from 9am to 5pm in between 1-hour lunch break is there from 1pm to 2pm excluding Thursday which is a half-day till 1pm only.
- The quality and method of teaching are average at AITM.
- The overall experience in college is average.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is Rs 1 lakh 58 thousand per year (including 38 thousand for the mess) at AITM Bhatkal.
- Scholarship option for minorities is moma only.
- And for Karnataka students the option are kmdc, vidyashree etc.
- Near about 300 students got a scholarship out of 900 students.
- Yes, loans are needed for kids belonging to poor financial backgrounds
Clubs and Associations
- Different branches have their technical forums.
- Apart from that s-wipro-for social welfare is there at AITM.
- All the above-mentioned festivals are organized on the campus.
- The life in the college is ok but hostel life is full of unforgettable memories.
