Academics and Faculty

3.5

  • The daily routine is quite busy for the students of NIT Delhi. The college starts at 9:30am for almost all batches and at 8:30am for the lower years. The college focusses on continuos evaluation and thus gives regular projects and assigmemts. There are some compulsory projects for the third and fourth years.
  • The college follows the conventional method of teaching , ie, book based education. Though the faculty is quite qualified yet sometimes it is difficult for then to convey the message to us.
  • The students overall have a great time in college. Even after some flaws in the college the students overlook these facts and have a great time.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

  • The students pay a course fee (tution fee) Rs 70000 per year.
  • There are not many scholarships available to the students, specially general category.
  • The average number of students getting the scholarship is 40-50.
  • Not many students studying in the college require a loan as the fees is not too high as compared to other private Tech Colleges.

4.5

  • The College has 4 major clubs:

Academics & Faculty : We have a well-designed rigorous academic schedule comprising of a 5 day week with 7 hours per day time slot. An academic semester is sprayed with intermittent tests, quizzes, projects, seminars and workshops, amounting to as much as 40 tests per semester. The syllabi, however, is quite outdated, thus focussing on learning stuff out of textbooks rather than practical experimentation. A wide array of relevant choices are available to be opted as electives. But the actual choices are limited due to small number of students and faculty members. The teaching methodology is not a constant, and varies greatly with the type of personality that the professor is.
