Placements and Internships

5

  • I did internship at ONGC. No stipend was received.
  • Companies like PSUs, Mahindra, Schlumberger,Samasung visit to the campus.
  • Average package was Rs 3.5 Lakh per year, the highest package was Rs 10 Lakh per year, 100% students get placement.
  • Alumni network was good informally, but alumni cell was not organized at all.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

1

  • There were 11 hostels and the hostel fees was minimal.
  • No idea about PGs.
  • Food was OK. But you need to take food from the hostel mess you have been provided accommodation only.  Mess fee was Rs. 55/day
  • Quality of Classrooms, Labs were poor. Library was good. Dining Halls were good. No Wi-Fi available. No canteen in the campus. Key-infrastrucute: Placement cell, Seminar hall was very small. Fit for only very small gatherings.

Academics and Faculty

1

  • Routine was not hectic at all. Life was smooth as far as academic load is concerned.
  • I didn't find the quality of teaching at per standard at all. Method of teaching was of regular fashion e.g class lecture by teachers, sometimes assignments to be done outside the class hours.
  • Social experience was very good. Students' relationship among ourselves were very good. Had lot of fun times together. We used to know each and every students in our batch and most of the seniors. But institute infrastructure was very poor.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

  • Tutuion Fee is Rs. 14250 per year.
  • We had only two scholarships for not more that 2 or 3 students per year: Jindal scholarships & ONGC scholarship for backwards
  • Loan not needed at all since fee was very less. Can be availed from SBI, Campus branch

Clubs and Associations

1.5

  • There  were many clubs like FACES,CDS,LDS etc.
  • Festivals like Pravah later renamed to OJASS(Techno-Management), Utkarsh (cultural fest), Cricket tournament, Annual Athletics were organized every year.
  • Life contained only interaction with friends in the form of Daily ADDA. Mess didn't work Friday Night. So we go to Bistupur for food. That was fun. No other facilities for entertainment.
