Placements and Internships
- Although students go for internships in companies but it is difficult for first year students to get internship. Second year is ideal for internships and college supports the students who do internships.
- AIT is known for its placements. It is always near to 95%. There are many good companies who hire student fro our college. Indian army, Microsoft , IBM,TCS and delloite being few of them.
- There is average salary package of Rs 5 LPA And highest salary package is of Rs 24 lakhs for year 2015. AIT students firmly believe that once an AITian ,always an AITian.
- AIT has a huge network of alumni who are always ready to support and guide students. There is an annual alumni meet conducted in college where this interaction increases and students gain knowledge of industry and future trends.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- There are 4 hostels for students. 3 for boys and 1 for girls. Hostels costs are approx Rs 60,000 per annum which includes mess and laundry charges.
- There is facility of PG in nearby areas which is costliers than hostels.
- Food charges are included among hostel fees. Food here is quite good and nutritious but after a month or two you feel boring with the food.
- Classes are well ventilated and projectors are there to help in teaching. There are no speakers in class, which should be there. All labs are well equipped with all required machinery. Library is air conditioned and well equipped with latest books . AIT also has its digital library with many journals subscribed. Campus and hostels are all wifi zones with an average speed. AIT is having all that it needs and it is always upgrading itself.
Academics and Faculty
- We are ranked second best college in pune after CoEP. Coming to classes , classes start at 9:15 am and end at 4:15 pm. There is 6 Hours of study including breaks of 15mins and 45 Mins in between. There is a mini project for first year students in both semesters and projects in coming years. There is continuous assessment of student throughout semester by two online exams (25marks each) and one semester exam (50marks). There are also weekly assignments to test and improve students academics. College is well equipped with experienced and good teachers who give their all for students. Sometimes it also becomes fault from student side and they think teacher is not good enough, but who attend classes regularly and do self study are among the university toppers.
- Teachers give their best here and it is upto you how much you want to learn.
- Overall AIT is good to study with only condition that one of your parent must be from defence service. Yes this college is for wards of defence personnel.
Fees and Scholarships
- Course fees in AIT is not high as compared to other institutions . It is Rs 2,12,000 per annum for first year and Rs 1,70,000 per annum approx for next years.
- There are many scholarship options available which include AGIF,DLF, PM scholarships. There are some other scholarship schemes for girls. And AIT is registered on national scholarship portal from where you can get scholarships.
- Average 400 students get scholarships including all type of scholarships. That makes the ratio 1 In 3 student among 1200 Students get a scholarship.
- There is almost no requirement of loan to study. But if you want you can get education loan from any bank. Consider bigger banks like SBI and HDFC etc as they are well established with good customer connections throughout nation
