Meghak P's Review on Mount Carmel College, [MCC] Bangalore

I did an internship with a private school during my second semester break. I worked as an intern under the department of English. 

I also did content writing and social media management for a digital marketing company. 

The college placement cell works towards the best interests of the students in their placements. The minimum salary is 3LPA. 

The Alumni network of the college has an Alumni association which facilitates the rapport between the former students.

There are limited seats for the college hostel. However, the college surrounding has many PGs with rent starting from 7k a month and goes on till 18k depending on the facilities offered. 

The college food is very reasonably priced. An average meal would cost 60 rupees. 

The college infrastructure is great with spacious classrooms, auditoriums, a well equipped library and an amazing culinary court.

The eligibility criteria for MA English is to have a minimum aggregate of 60% in bachelors degree. The admission procedure starts with the submission of application which can be done both online and offline. 

The department of English will contact the students who meet the eligibility criteria and inform the dates for the entrance examination. If the entrance exam is cleared, the student will have a round of interview with the staff. The college will inform the results in a week's time. 

College starts at 8 am and goes on till 4pm. However, there are different shifts for different courses. 

The professors are too good in the English department. The quality of teaching is nothing less than great and the syllabus is very well designed. Also, the professors are always ready to help us out.

With culturals, department fests and an event happening every other week, the college experience is all the more fun. 

The course fee is 80,000 per year for students from outside the state of Karnataka. 

All the State Government and Central Government scholarships are notified to the students. 

There are more than 20 associations and clubs incorporating all possible interests of students. 

The college itself is famous in the city for its cultural fests. 

For a student of Mount Carmel, college imparts the best academic knowledge possible while also making college life fun with the plethora of events.
