Placements and Internships

2.5

1. I completed a six-month internship as a content writer at GILC (Global Institute of Leadership Communications). There I was rewarded with a stipend of ₹4000/month.
2. Since I haven't completed my graduation yet, I am not aware of the recruitment process for graduates.
3. I am not acquainted with such information.
4. None.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

1. There are no hostels for the basic UG programs; however, the technical institutions in Nerul and Navi Mumbai do provide hostel services. I am not aware of the fee structure of the same.
2. Since the college is located quite close to the suburban area of the Mumbai region, the cost of PGs is high-priced.
3. The meals in the canteen are affordable and the prices of the same range between ₹20 - ₹150.
4. The classes are quite big, providing enough ventilation, the library is air-conditioned and well maintained, the auditorium is big enough to fit almost 300 people, and the internet facilities and other infrastructural provisions are good as well.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

1. The college followed a basic eligibility criteria standard for admission to any undergraduate program. So, the minimum qualification for one to secure a seat in my college is to have completed the HSC/12th pass with a minimum score of 45%.
2. When applying for any rudimentary program (B.A., B.com, B.Sc., BMM, BAF, etc.), the students are to participate in merit rounds (3) where percentage-wise, they will be admitted to the listed/preferred college. For other professional and technical courses, the student must appear for a state examination, and according to the acquired marks, they will be allotted a college.
3. The average cutoff for the B.A. program in SIES college ranges between 70% to 90%.

Academics and Faculty

4

1. Most of the classes for different UG programs, including the B.A. course, start at 7 am, and the last lecture ends around 3 pm (depending upon the extra classes and practicals). The projects and other assignments assigned to the students are purely relevant to the selected subjects. The B.A. program includes 6 semesters wherein 2 semesters are completed every year.
2. The method and the quality of teaching are quite comprehensible.
3. As of now, my experience in the college has been pretty good.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

1. The course fee for the B.A. program ranges from 5,000 to 15,000 depending upon the student's category (minority, in-house, and merit).
2. Scholarship accorded to the students is either merit-based or granted considering a student's financial status.
3. 500 students are given different scholarships in various sister institutions of SIES college.
4. Since I didn't take one, I am uninformed of such information.

Clubs and Associations

4.5

1. There is a rotract club managed by the senior students and other departmental clubs, which are significantly directed by the students.
2. Utkarsha is an annual festival of the college.
3. Given the environment, surroundings, and neighborhood of the college, life in the college is quite decent.
