Being an IIM, the placements are up to the standard, with companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Mckinsey, Cognizant, etc., visiting the campus and offering roles across various domains. The average CTC ranged around 12.36 for the batch of 2020-22.

Currently, the college is functioning from a transit campus. The construction of the permanent campus is ongoing, and it is expected to be fully functional by Nov '22. Currently, they have 4 hostels with single rooms and all modern facilities. Equipment and courts/fields are available for major sports like basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, and table tennis.

The college takes admissions through the CAT(Common Admission Test) entrance examination, divided into 3 parts- Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. After the written exam, there is a shortlist based on percentile scored followed by Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. The final merit list is based on the candidate's overall score on various parameters like percentile scored, alma mater academics, co-curricular activities, etc.

Being mentored by IIM Calcutta in its budding years, IIM Bodh Gaya gives a high focus on academics. The teaching method focuses on real-life case studies and application-oriented discussions in the classrooms. Various clubs of Marketing, Finance, Operation, Strategy and Consulting, HR, and Data Science are operational throughout the year arranging guest lectures and several competitions.
