Placements and Internships
Students are eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester. There are a lot of companies that visit our college. To name a few, Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Indian Oil, BSNL, IBM, TIECON, and many more. About 75-80% of students are placed during campus placements. The students are given many training sessions on technical and soft skills during their 4th year before placement. In addition, every year, about 80% of students are got internships before the job.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
Our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. It has separate buildings for each department. There is a big library hall and ground. The canteen and hostel facilities are there. All the campuses are very clean. There are good labs, classrooms, smart teaching technology, wifi campus, grooming class, career development cell, special seminars for students development and improvement of skills, and special support for needy students.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
First of all, you should have cleared WBJEE or JEE main, whichever you want. Then, after WBJEE results out, admission is carried out through counseling from WBJEE official website.
Academics and Faculty
The faculty members are really very good and friendly, and they are highly experienced. They try to get everyone to the front stage so that almost everyone gets placed.
Fees and Scholarships
Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology, [GMIT] Kolkata Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 2.98 Lakh.
There were no additional charges to secure admission or to get placements. In addition, you can get scholarships based on your class 12 results.
Clubs and Associations
College events are the inseparable part of college life. The college organizes many events. To name a few, cultural fest, Science Carnival, Women's day, Football tournament, and any other sports fields with participants from various colleges and many more.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 1) Admission to the B.Tech programme under MAKAUT is based on the merit standing of applicants in the entrance exam like WBJEE conducted by the Govt. of West Bengal and JEE MAIN. 2) 85 % of the total intake is through WBJEE, and 15 % is through JEE MAIN, depending on the qualified rank as per the norms of AICTE and MAKAUT. 3) Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 with the combination of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) for the general category and 40% for the reserved category. 4) Candidates must secure pass marks in English. 5) Candidates may take admission either through the process of WBJEEB counselling or can take direct/provisional admission based on HS results and the rank obtained in WBJEE/JEE MAIN.
