The positive attitude of our students towards placement opportunities has put GMIT on the map of West Bengal as a fruitful destination for the core industries to recruit fresh engineers. While the number of jobs in the core sector shrinks day by day, GMIT has consistently secured a decent number of opportunities for its students. Our students have also successfully secured job opportunities in top IT companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Indusnet, etc. Salary is average to medium. It basically depends on student performance and ability to crack mnc companies. Around 2-4 lakh salary.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs, classrooms and libraries are well furnished. Our campus is lush green. The food available in the mess, canteen and hostel is very healthy and good in taste. Our college also has its own gym for the fitness of students.

1) Admission to the B.Tech programme under MAKAUT is based on the merit standing of applicants in the entrance exam like WBJEE conducted by the Govt. of West Bengal and JEE MAIN.

2) 85 % of the total intake is through WBJEE, and 15 % is through JEE MAIN, depending on the qualified rank as per the norms of AICTE and MAKAUT.

3) Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 with the combination of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) for the general category and 40% for the reserved category.

4) Candidates must secure pass marks in English.

5) Candidates may take admission either through the process of WBJEEB counselling or can take direct/provisional admission based on HS results and the rank obtained in WBJEE/JEE MAIN.

Here daily classes, labs are taken as usual projects and assignment are given to students. Class time is at 10:15 am.

Teaching Quality is quite good and faculty are friendly and helps lot.

Overall exprience is quite good . 

CSE (Package 3.93)lakh , ECE & EE (Package 2.93) lakh , ME & CE (Package 2.73) lakh. All admitted students are eligible for BRIGHT COVID SCHOLARSHIP worth Rs. 1.00 Lakhs. All scholarship schemes are in addition to Bright Covid Scholarship.

The Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal, has introduced the Student Credit Card Scheme for the students of West Bengal to enable them to pursue education without having any financial constraints.

Hence, our students at GMIT can also avail this wonderful opportunity to apply for West Bengal Student Credit Card online. The maximum amount of loan granted is Rs.10 Lac only @ 4% per annum simple interest.

Every year our college celebrates different kinds of events, fests and sports with the help of faculty members. DKB memorial cup is a very well known programme arranged in our college.
