Upon request from the student, they arrange internships in local firms too for the deserving. In terms of placements, most of the companies which come for recruitment are from the IT sector, but we do get core companies upon continuous follow up of the college.

LICET has a huge alumni network who are all in contact with each other. Every year the alumni meet is conducted on August 15, which once again shows the togetherness of the institution.

LICET have hostel facility for both boys and girls on campus; they have hostel facility for girls, and the hostel fee comes around an INR 1 Lakh per year, but it differs for the off-campus one. Food is provided at the hostel, and the price is included in the total fee. Apart from the hostel mess, we have the college canteen, and a smaller eat out close by.

The classrooms are allocated according to the department and the year of study and are quite spacious with proper lighting and ventilation. There is a projector, a green board and an intercom for each classroom. Each department will have a project room which the student can utilise during college hours.

We have a resourceful library with numerous books and a digital library with some amazing collection of books which the students can utilise to their heart's content.

LICET have brilliant lab facility according to the department's requirement with the machinery and software updated till date. The lab faculties are all experienced personnel who are very much willing to teach and share their knowledge with the students. The campus is equipped with wifi connection with a decent bandwidth which is accessible to the staff and students(on request). LICET has well-furnished common rooms for both the genders where they can have lunch etc.

Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) has both management and government admissions. For getting into LICET, the candidates have to complete HSC or a corresponding diploma. On the year 2016, we had the cut off mark of 187.5 for the department of Electrical and Electronics; this might vary for the upcoming years.

The students opting for management seats will have an entrance test and an interview round, on clearing them they will be given a seat from the two options the student had chosen previously (this cannot be changed after payment of fees) while filling up the admission form.

With regards to the government quota, they go through counselling at Anna University on dates allocated based on the percentiles obtained by the prospectus. On the counselling day, the student can choose LICET with the available department and enrol themselves.

Currently, there are a total of five departments; EEE, Mechanical, CSC, ECE, and IT. The college timing is from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm with weekends off. Assignments will be of theory type, seminars, PowerPoint, and group assignments. We have a department-wise mini-projects during the end of the third year, which is the 6th semester and a final year project.

Students are always welcome to do projects if they have innovative ideas. We have excellent faculty in LICET, where most of them have done their research in the respective fields. Some professor's are currently pursuing their researches which happens to be motivating for the students too.

The faculty at LICET are friendly, highly knowledgeable, and full of exciting ideas with which they try to engage students with lots of projects and seminars to bring the best out of them.

This criterion differs for the management and government admissions again,

The fee for the government quota (the year 2016) / per year

• General fee - 40,000 rupees
• First graduate fee - 20,000 rupees

The fee for the management quota (2016) / per year

• Management fee - 70,000 rupees

Scholarships eligible are,

• for those whose parents annual income was below two lakhs from all the sources
• to students whose parents were farmers

There is no particular count for obtaining scholarships; the institution will help those who are really in need.

Apart from professional endeavours, LICET offers exciting opportunities for its students to keep their energies and excitement on a check. It has various clubs, cells which helps every individual to grow into better humans who could contribute to society.

• Various cells include Entrepreneurship cell, Innovation cell, Women's cell, and SHE which is also regarding women development, and many more.

In a year we have ENGENIA which is a cultural event during odd semesters and Sports day during the even semester. Apart from these LICET conducts National level Technical Symposium and inter-departmental symposiums every year.

Overall life at LICET is all in one's mindset with which you come, it incubates everyone's dreams and helps every individual who lands in it one way or another.
