Green Olympiad Awards 2023

TERI, The Energy and Resources Institute, has initiated an annual written examination in a vision-related to sustainable development and environmental issues. Winners get TERI Green Olympiad awards, which attract participation from the school students across India and abroad to participate in TERI Green Olympiad exam.

TERI Green Olympiad Prizes

TERI Green Olympiad is open to only the schools affiliated with recognized education trusts and educational boards. Students who are enrolled in such schools from grades IV to XII can appear in this examination.

The Ministry of Environment and Forest, MoEF, awards participation certificates to all the students who appeared for the TERI Green Olympiad. Top performers will be honoured with merit and distinction certificates. Besides, the state toppers are awarded a cash prize.

Green Olympiad provides awards and prizes offered to the students are,

• Country winners are awarded a certificate and medals/mementoes.
• State winners are awarded a certificate and medals/mementoes.
• Every student appearing for the Green Olympiad will receive certificates according to their individual performance that includes,
• Distinction certificate (85% or more marks)
• Merit certificate (scores between 70-85%)
• Participation certificate (scores less than 70%)
• TERI Green Olympiad also offers a Certificate of Appreciation to all the coordinators and respective teacher-in-charge of each registered school.

Note: TERI believes that participation is better than prize-winning. So, each participant will be awarded the participation certificate and student performance report.

Steps to Download TERI Green Online Certificate

Students will get online certificates, trophies, and medals. Students can download the certificate only once. Participants need to check their name and school name if required before downloading the certificate.

Participants can download their TERI certificates by following the steps given below.

• Visit the official website of the TERI Olympiad.
• Enter the registration number and password that the student received before attempting the Olympiad.
• Student's certificates will be displayed, which will be available in pdf format for download.
• Students must verify the details available in the certificate before downloading.

TERI Green Olympiad Incentives

Special incentives will be honoured to schools for continuous participation in the Green Olympiad for ten years.

TERI Green offers schools with the following incentives, who has registered for Green Olympiad:

• Attractive discounts will be provided on EduXcursion camps that will be organised by TERI. And the first preference will be given to the students participating in the other projects and activities initiated by TERI.
• Special discounts will be provided to the selected publications, journals, or products, distributed by TERI.
• Special social contributions free of cost will be offered to 15 students (5 students in each level, from the EWS category) from each registered school. This social contribution will be applicable only if the school has registered a minimum of 20 students.
