An initiative to focus on helping the students to become all-rounded individuals who can think critically about the problems from multiple perspectives with a strong emphasis on conceptual knowledge is the aim of the CREST Olympiad. These Olympiad Exams are trying to break the typical stereotype around regular Olympiad Exams.

Crest Science Olympiad

The CSO i.e. CREST Science Olympiad is an international competitive exam held online for students in classes KG/Prep and 1-10. For students of classes KG, Prep,1, and 2, there will be only one level. There will be 2 levels for students of classes 3-10. The exam is an objective-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes. For students of class Prep/KG, the exam will be parent/teacher assisted and the time of the exam will be 45 minutes.

There are two levels in Crest Science Olympiad:

• CSO Level 1 Exam
• CSO Level 2 Exam

CSO Level 1 Exam

The students who are appearing through schools their respective school is the venue of there exam. Students who are registered as an individual will have to take an exam from home or institute having a computer with good internet connectivity.

The level 1 exam is an objective-type test with a duration of 60 minutes, comprising 35 objective-type questions for classes 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type questions for classes 5 to 10.

The exam consists of two sections:

• Section 1: General science
• Section 2: Achievers section

Other Important Information:

• There are separate question papers for every class.
• The medium of the exam is English.
• CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and other state board syllabus are followed for the set of test papers.
• The exam is conducted during school hours only.

CSO Level 2 Exam

Level 2 is organized for students of classes 3 to 10 only. The students who would be qualified to the second round would include the following:

• The qualifiers will include the top 5% of all the candidates of a particular class given the level 1 exam. For calculating the top 5% of students, the weightage of marks scored in different sections is considered. Also, each section is accorded with a separate weightage.
• The qualifiers also include the top 25 rank holders in a particular class and a particular zone.
• If a minimum of 10 students has secured 50% qualifying marks in a particular class, then the respective class topper will be eligible to give the level 2 exam.

The procedure for downloading the sample papers are as follows:

• Visit the official website of the Crest Olympiad.
• Scroll down and select "Sample Papers" on the Crest Olympiad website.
• The candidates will be directed to the previous year's question paper page containing links for CMO, CSO, CEO, CRO, CCO, and CSB question papers.
• Select the Crest Science Olympiad sample paper.
• Under the CSO sample paper, candidates can choose the class-wise sample papers.
• CSO sample papers will be available as a pdf file for download.
