SSC Grade C LDCE Answer Key
SSC Stenographer 2024 answer key for Grade C Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 have been released on Feb 8, 2024. The marking pattern for the Computer Based Test has been changed. The conducting authority has announced a change of negative marking in the SSC Stenographer exam for Groups C and D. According to the new rule, every wrong answer by the candidate would cause a deduction of 0.25 marks.
Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi (as specified in the online Application Form) at a speed of 100 words per minute (wpm) for Stenographer Grade C and 80 wpm for Stenographer Grade D in the Skill Test. The information will have to be typed into a computer.

- The printout of the typed text will not be taken after the Stenography Skill Test(Transcription)

Marking Scheme for CBT
The general marking scheme for the online Computer-based Test is as follows: Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark. SSC Stenographer negative marking scheme of CBT has changed. SSC Stenographer 2024 Scores
SSC Stenographer 2024 scores of both qualified and non-qualified candidates are released a few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can access their scorecard by logging in with a user ID and password. The scorecard can be downloaded within the time frame fixed by the examination authority. The scorecard will display the section-wise and total scores obtained by the candidates.
Calculation of Scores
The scores for SSC Stenographer 2024 are calculated as follows.
- For the correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark.
- There is a negative marking for wrong answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
- The scores of candidates are calculated based on correct and incorrect answers.
- Marks scored by candidates in the Computer-Based Examination will be normalized using the equi-percentile method.
- The normalized scores will be used to determine the final merit list.
Normalization of Marks
SSC calculates the scores of candidates based on the normalization procedure. This method is followed to adjust the difficulty level of question papers since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.

Mode of Selection
Based on the marks of the computer-based test, candidates will be selected category-wise to appear in the Skill Test. The skill test is mandatory and qualifying in nature.
Candidates who qualify for the skill test are considered for final selection based on their merit in the computer-based exam. Final selection and allocation of ministries/departments will be made based on their performance in the computer-based exam and preferences of posts/departments given at the time of document verification.
The final allotment is done based on merit-cum-preferences.
Tie-Breaker
In the case where more than one candidate secures equal aggregate marks in the computer-based exam, the tie will be resolved by applying the following methods:
- Marks in Part 1 (i.e. General Intelligence & Reasoning)
- Marks in Part 2 (i.e. General Awareness)
- Date of birth, older candidates will be placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.
