SSC GD 2024 Eligibility
Every candidate who is applying for SSC GD has to satisfy the eligibility criteria set up by SSC. If it is found at a later stage that a candidate has lied or given incorrect information about himself/herself, then the candidate's candidature will be cancelled with immediate effect. The eligibility of a candidate is divided into the following:
SSC GD 2024 Nationality Criteria
Only Indian aspirants can apply for the exam. The candidate must be born and be a citizen of India.
SSC GD 2024 Age Criteria
Only the candidates who belong to the age group of 18 to 23 years are eligible to apply for SSC GD 2024. The candidates must not cross the age limit of 23 before the release of the notification. For candidates belonging to ST/SC, there is a 5-year relaxation in the age upper limit and for OBC candidates there is a 3-year relaxation. For candidates who are Ex-Servicemen, there is a 3-year relaxation after deducting the military service rendered from the actual age on the date of reckoning, however, candidates who are sons/daughters/dependants of Ex-Servicemen will not be given the age relaxation.
SSC GD 2024 Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed Matriculation or X class from a Recognized Indian Board to be eligible for this exam. Candidates who are appearing for their class 10th examination or who have not completed it cannot apply or are not eligible to apply for SSC GD 2024.
SSC GD 2024 Application Form
The application fee for SSC GD 2024 is INR 100 for candidates who belong to the General category and the OBC category. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee.

Steps to Apply for SSC GD 2024
- Step 1 - Registration: Candidates need to enter Aadhar Card number, Email-Id, Phone number, father's and mother's name, category, nationality, gender, etc to complete the registration process. The candidate must also create a password or it will be created for them and shall be sent to the given Phone number or mail ID.
- Step 2 - Application Form: Candidates should log in with the registered email id to apply for SSC GD 2024 posts. The next step is to fill the exam centres, age, Domicile State/ UT, and preference of CAPFs.
- Step 3 - Documents Needed: Candidates should upload Photo/ Signature/ Biometric impression in the prescribed format.

SSC GD 2024 Admit Card
SSC GD 2024 DME admit card will be released by the Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF). The CRPF will announce the dates for the SSC GD Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Document Verification (DV).
Candidates must bring the printed Admit Card on the day of the Detailed Medical Examination along with other original and important documents for checking. The candidates must also strictly follow new rules and guidelines as per the given COVID situation like wearing a face mask at all times, downloading the Arogya Setu App, Carrying hand sanitisers, etc.

SSC GD 2024 Exam Centres
SSC GD 2024 exam is conducted across India and candidates can choose the exam centre based on their convenience. Exam centre details will be printed on the Admit Card.
Candidates who are interested in enrolling for SSC GD Exam will be able to fill in the choices for the exam centre when they fill out the registration form. Candidates would need to select multiple SSC GD exam centres in the order of preference from first to last.

- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- The Computer-Based exam consists of 100 objective type questions carrying 100 marks and the total duration of the exam is one and a half hours i.e., 90 minutes.
