KVPY 2022 exam with INSPIRE has been dissolved by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. According to the official notification released on the official website by DST, there will be no further KVPY Aptitude Tests conducted. However, the candidates who satisfy the eligibility requirements of the DST will be awarded with fellowships.
KVPY 2022 exam pattern is different for the different papers and streams. KVPY exam, short for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana, is conducted by IISc Bangalore. This exam is organized every year. KVPY 2022 Exam Pattern
DST announced that there will be no further KVPY aptitude tests with INSPIRE conducted. The candidates will be awarded KVPY fellowships if they meet all the requirements prescribed by the conducting body. Therefore, there will be no KVPY 2022 aptitude test. More details on the same will be released by DST.
Previously, KVPY Aptitude Test was conducted online, i.e., as a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. The question paper was objective, i.e., in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format. There were two papers for two streams; one was for the SA stream, and the other paper was for the SB/SX stream. The examination was for 3 hours, i.e., 180 minutes. KVPY exam had two stages, namely Aptitude Test, which was followed by an Interview. To get KVPY fellowship, candidates must qualify for both stages of the exam.

KVPY 2022 Exam Pattern for Stream SA
The question paper of KVPY Stream SA will have 80 questions. Out of which 60 questions will be in Part-I, and 20 questions will be in Part-II. For Part-I, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer, and for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Similarly, candidates will get 2 marks for every accurate answer for Part-II, and 0.5 marks are deducted for inaccurate answers. The stream SA question paper will be of 100 marks, and it will have four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The exam will be available in English as well as Hindi. Candidates can pick either of the two.

KVPY 2022 Exam Pattern for Stream SB/SX
The stream SB/SX question paper will contain 2 parts with 4 sections. Both parts will contain 4 subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Moreover, candidates must answer any THREE of the four subjects in Part I and any TWO of the four subjects in Part II. The question paper comprises 120 questions for SB and SX, but students need to attempt 80 questions. The time given to complete the examination will be 3 hours/180 minutes. Candidates can choose to write the exam either in English or in Hindi medium.
Similar to stream SA, the question paper will have both 1 Mark and 2 Mark questions. For every wrong answer to 1 mark questions, 0.25 marks will be deducted, and for every wrong answer to 2 mark questions, 0.5 marks will be deducted.

Based on the marks obtained in KVPY Aptitude Test, the students are called for an Interview. The final admission is based on the performance in KVPY Aptitude test (75%) and Interview (25%).
KVPY 2022 Syllabus
KVPY 2022 syllabus broadly covers topics from four key subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. IISc does not include any syllabus in the notification of KVPY, but it mentions that stream SA is of class XI level and for Stream SX and SB, it is of class XII level of Mathematics and Science.
