IBPS SO eligibility criteria 2023 allow the candidates to determine if they are eligible to apply for the examination before filling up the application form. Eligibility Criteria Based on Citizenship

A Candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee who approached India before first January 1962 intending to forever settle in India
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India,

Note: Given that an applicant has a place with classes (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above should be a man in whose support a declaration of qualification has been issued by the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria Based on Age

Age Limit: The minimum age to apply for the IBPS SO exam is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years. A candidate must have been born not earlier than November 02, 1990, and not later than November 01, 2020 (both dates are inclusive)

  • Minimum: 20 Years
  • Maximum: 30 Years

Age Relaxation

Upper age limit relaxation is given to few reserved category candidates as given below. This is in addition to the maximum age limit (30 years).

Note:

  • For posts other than IT Officer Scale I: Candidates must have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in PC operations/ Dialect/ought to have contemplated Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/ Establishment.
  • The authenticity of Degree: All the educational qualifications mentioned ought to be from a University/Institution/Board perceived by Govt. Of India/affirmed by Govt. Administrative Bodies and the outcome ought to have been pronounced on or before 02.12.2017.
