Candidates desiring to apply for the IBPS SO 2022-23 recruitment exam must ensure that they fulfil the following IBPS SO 2022-23 eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Institute of Personnel Banking Selection. The eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age limit and educational qualification are given below.
Nationality/Citizenship
An applicant must be either of the following:
- a citizen of India;
- a subject of Nepal;
- a subject of Bhutan;
- a Tibetan refugee who shifted to India before January 1st, 1962 with intentions of settling in India permanently;
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: As on November 01, 2020, the candidate must not be more than 30 years of age.
- Lower Age Limit: The candidate must not have been born before November 02, 1990. The applicant must be at least 20 years old as on November 01, 2020.
Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification required for being appointed as any of the above-mentioned officers will be different. This will depend on the particular officer post a candidate is applying for.

The qualified candidates must appear for the selection process for the recruitment of IBPS SO 2022-23. They must produce all the required documents for verification during selection.
The selection process for IBPS SO includes three stages.
