What is DSSSB?

DSSSB stands for Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. DSSSB is a board that conducts recruitment exams for various posts under the departments of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi).

DSSSB recruitment exams are conducted every year. The board releases vacancy notices for different posts along with the details such as DSSSB exam dates, pay scale, and eligibility criteria. Candidates can apply for a particular post after ensuring their eligibility criteria for the posts:

DSSSB 2021 Vacancy Notification

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has recently released its 5th Official Notification of 2020 under the advertisement number 05/20 on its official website. The DSSSB has, up to now, announced a total of 5,157 vacancies available for 116 posts.

In the 1st DSSSB Notification of 2020, under the advertisement number 01/20, a total of 536 vacancies were released for 18 posts. In the 2nd DSSSB Notification of 2020, under the advt no. 02/20, a total of 710 vacancies were released for 18 more posts. In the 3rd and the 4th DSSSB Notification of 2020, 256 vacancies for 27 posts, and 3,358 vacancies for 30 more posts were released respectively. In the 5th DSSSB Notification, there have been 297 vacancies released for 23 posts.

DSSSB 2021 Eligibility

The DSSSB 2021 eligibility criteria depend on the post a candidate is applying for. The basic eligibility criteria revolve around educational qualification and age limit as stated below:

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required to be eligible for DSSSB Recruitment 2020 will vary on the post applied for by the candidates. Candidates are requested to go through the below eligibility requirements for various posts under DSSSB before applying for the examination.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 45% marks from a recognized university in the concerned subject.
  • B.Ed. form a recognized university
  • Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

  • Degree/Diploma in training/Education from a recognized university
PRT
  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks in concerned subjects
  • Pass in Central Eligibility Test (CTET)
PRT Nursery
  • Senior Secondary School (12th) certificate or Intermediate or it's equivalent with at least 45% marks from a recognized university
  • Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme for the duration of not less than 2 years or B.Ed (Nursery) from a recognized institute
  • Must have passed Higher Secondary Level
DSSSB AE and JE
  • Candidates must possess an engineering degree or diploma in the relevant specification.
  • Candidates with a diploma should have at least two years of working experience as well.
DSSSB Group B and C
  • Candidates should have passed 12th and also obtain a graduate degree along with relevant experience for Group B.
  • For the post of Welfare Officer, candidates must have a graduate degree in social work or sociology or a masters degree in criminology.
DSSSB Music Teacher Candidates having a BA degree in music as one of the subjects or have qualified the required music examination along with 10+2 can apply for this post

DSSSB Document Upload

Candidates will be asked to upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph taken against white background and a signature done in black or blue ink. Scanned images of left-thumb impression along with the hand written declaration will be required. The documents must follow the guidelines defined by the DSSSB exam authority. DSSSB 2021 Registration Process

The application process of the DSSSB 2021 Exam is composed of main four steps that are registration, filling the application form, uploading the documents and paying the application form fees is given below. These steps are to be completed online. Candidates must enter accurate information during the DSSSB 2021 Application Process. Candidates may get disqualified if there is any discrepancy found later.

How to fill the DSSSB Application Form?

The Application Form for DSSSB is released on its official website- 'dsssbonline.nic.in'. The candidates can follow the steps given below to successfully apply and appear for this exam.

Step 1: Register for DSSSB

To start with, candidates need to register as a new user on the official website of the DSSSB exam.

  • Visit the official website of DSSSB - dsssbonline.nic.in
  • Click on 'Click for New Registration button'
  • Enter date of birth, class 10th roll number, and class 10th passing year
  • Click on Submit
  • Enter all the necessary information regarding personal details and academic details.
  • Read the following instructions and click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page
  • Click on Submit
  • Note down the DSSSB registration number and password
  • Click on Proceed

Step 2: Fill the DSSSB Application Form

Next, candidates need to login to their registered accounts and start filling the application form by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Enter registration number, password, and code visible on the screen

  • Click on Apply Now button of the post for which application needs to be filled
  • Enter present and permanent address

Step 3: Paying the DSSSB application fees.

Once the application form is filled, candidates need to pay the application fee in online mode (through SBI e-pay) as per the post they are applying for. DSSSB application fee for a majority of the posts is Rs 100. Also, women candidates and applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Ex-serviceman category are exempted from paying the application fee.

DSSSB 2021 admit cards will be released by Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board on its official website. The admit card for DSSSB will be released on Feb 4, 2021. The last date to download the admit card is February 08, 2021.

  • One mark is allotted for every correct multiple choice answer in the exam
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect MCQ answer
