Fees & Scholarships : Total amount required to study BCA in YIMS is Rs. 120000. Scholarships are available for all. Loans can be taken if necessary.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : In my time the eligibility criteria for enrolling to BCA was that one should have studied either math or computer science or both in their 12th standard. Admission was simple; it was based on my 12th mark and I had scored 88% and so it was a merit based admission. No entrance exam was required. A student should have at-least 60% to get admission in BCA.

Placements & Internships : The college provides high job opportunities. Major companies like Infosys, Deloitte, etc. recruit students from our campus. Salary would be 2-3 lakh per annum and it increases with experience.

Academics & Faculty : Daily routine includes a morning prayer, a mentor’s speech and the introduction of what is being taken in the next hour. The quality of teaching is fine. All the classes are taken by expert and experienced teachers. Overall experience is not that good. The college feels more like a school and there is a lot of rules and regulations which are hard to follow. There is no entertainment and freedom for students.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 hostels, one for boys and one for girls. The hostels are very strict but its neat and clean. PGs are available near the college very easily and also at very cheap rate. Food is okay but not that great. It only costs 30 bucks per meal and it is more than enough to fill a tummy or two. Classrooms are well lit and ventilated. Labs are awesome. We have 2 labs which are fully furnished with modern technology. All the systems are connected to internet. Libraries are digital and there are almost all books available - both study materials and others. Free wifi is there but cellphones are not permitted.

Clubs & Associations : Many clubs and activities are available department wise including social clubs like women cells etc.. Life in this college is not something you expect out of a college. It's really boring and tiring with no entertainment whatsoever.
