Students Grievance Cell:
The College Administration has decided to constitute a grievance cell right from the session 2011-2012. A small room has been earmarked for the same. One of the senior staff members shall be made Incharge of the cell. He shall be assisted by two other faculty members for purpose of listening to the student’s grievances and suggest ways and means for redressal of the same. The cell is expected to meet every week in the afternoon, listen patiently to the grievances previously lodged by the students in writing and take remedial measures thereof in the best interests of the students/complainants. It would help to remove any sort of misunderstanding, if developed by any student against members of the staff or administration. The cell is also supposed to prevail upon the college management to provide facilities/amenities if demanded by the students and found in their academic interest.
A Book Bank is also being set up this year in the college library. It would provide free access to the books to the poor and needy students of the College and allow them to retain books for the whole session. The Book Bank is to be developed with the active support of students, teachers, community and publishers on cooperative basis. All the stakeholders concerned and philanthropists shall be requested to donate old/new books for the development of the Bank.
In order to assure close relationship with ex-students of this College and thus obtain their healthy suggestions and comments as well regarding the future development of the College on the basis of their rich experience in various fields, an Alumni Association has been formed with effect from the current session. The B.Ed. students on the rolls of the College during any academic session would surely be also benefited by the interaction with the ex-students whenever an Alumni meet is held by the College Administration.
Orientation/Induction Programme for new Entries:
The College Administration organizes orientation programme for freshers every year just after the admissions are completed. Every staff member is supposed to deliver a lecture on any educational / general topic which would broaden the intellectual horizon of the students. The said programme provides a chance to the new batch of students to come closer to the teaching faculty and develop intimate academic relationship with them.
