Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur, strives to impart quality technical education to teach students enriched knowledge and skills. VSSUT placement cell observed a 23 percent rise in the number of students placed in 2020. The highest package offered also saw a considerable hike in 2020. Infosys was the leading recruiter, with 140 offers rendered to the students.

Total 33 recruiters took part in the placement drive of 2020. The main recruiters were Infosys, Accenture, TCS, and Cognizant, and the most preferred branch was Electrical Engineering. The university believes that one must understand the foundational topics at the conceptual level and make practical implementations. Therefore, the students are taken through industrial tours.
