UPL University of Sustainable Technology was started way back in 2011 with the establishment of SRICT conducting UG ( B.E. ) courses in engineering in affiliation with GTU and approval of AICTE, New Delhi. The institute has also developed two special industry-focused courses.

University has also started Diploma programs in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Environment Engineering, and B.E. Computer Engineering. Both institutes are providing quality education in the field of Engineering and Science respectively. SRICT is one of the top engineering institutes of Gujarat and SRICT–ISR is one of the most favorite PG centers for M.Sc. in South Gujarat.

UPL University eligibility criteria for the offered undergraduate courses are as follows

The candidates should have passed 10+2 (HSC) examinations in their relevant core subjects from a recognized board of education with a minimum of 45% marks  (40 % for reserved categories like SEBC/SC/ST) and GUJCET as minimum eligibility.

• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies.

• B.E./B.TECH. in Chemical Engineering/ Technology or Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology Biotechnology or Environment Science & Technology or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ ST/SEBC candidates) at the qualifying examination.
