U Jeebon Roy Mairom: It is a merit-based award for students who have received the top three grades in their respective 12th-grade boards (CBSE/ ISC/ State Boards) and have taken JEE (Mains). The scholarships are given out based on the results of the examination.

• Qualifying examination certificates must be attached with the application form.
• Other expenditures such as hostel lodging, meals, books, and so on will not be covered by the MIT University Shillong scholarship.

Skendrowell Syiemlieh: It is a merit-based scholarship available to students who received a minimum of 90% (PCM) or 80% (arts/ commerce) in their 12th grade in the respective boards (CBSE/ ISC/ state boards). The scholarship amount at MIT University Shillong will be determined by the parents' annual income.

• The necessary certificates must accompany the application form.
• The appropriate documentation should be presented, including income statements for family members/guardians and bank statements for the previous six months.
• The scholarship will not cover other expenses such as meals, hostel accommodations, books.

U Tirot Sing Syiem: It is a sports scholarship for students who have competed at a national or international level and won medals.

• Relevant certificates must be attached to the MIT University Shillong scholarship application.
• The sport must be approved by the Indian Olympic Council (IOC). The scholarship does not cover other costs such as meals, lodging, books, or transportation.

U Kiang Nangbah: It is a teaching aid programme for students who have excelled academically and want to contribute to the university. The student is expected to assist the university's teaching and development operations for a set number of hours each week and month.

U Soso Tham: It is a research support program for students who have excelled academically and want to give back to the university. The student is expected to assist the university's research and development activities for a set amount of hours each week and month.

Pa Togan Nengminza: It is a need-based, earn-and-learn programme for students who want to contribute to the institution in some way while also earning money to pay for their education. The student is expected to assist the university's research and development activities for a set amount of hours each week and month.

Lachit Borphukan: The MIT University Shillong scholarship is available to students who have performed well in academics. The scholarship will be given out based on a student's overall success in numerous activities and academic distinction.

Renewal

• All scholarships are contingent on maintaining continuously strong academic achievement. Students must achieve pre-determined academic benchmarks for the MIT University Shillong scholarship to continue.
• The scholarship can be renewed based on academic performance, attendance, and the Dean's certification of character and conduct.
• The continuation of a sports scholarship is contingent on athletic performance following university admission.
• If the student is found guilty of any wrongdoing or indiscipline, the MIT University Shillong scholarship will be revoked.
