Infrastructure Facilities at Universal Engineering College, [UEC] Thrissur:

Campus:

• All the infrastructure facilities for Universal Engineering College campus have been entrusted to design and develop by renowned Architects and Engineers.
• The building is constructed of highest quality standards using the best of materials to make the facilities most modern, aesthetic, comfortable and convenient for the users.
• The College site is blessed with sufficient drinking water and electricity.

Library:

• The Library is nearly 1500 sq. ft. It has more than 5000 volumes of textbooks and over 40 journals/magazines and access to over 275 e-journals.
• eShelf Digital Library is a software platform that incorporates Digital Contents & its Management System that helps create, categorize, index, search, retrieve and share various forms of digital contents in audio/video/text formats.
• Digital Library System is used for preserving digital assets like Books, Journals, Magazines, Articles, Project Reports, Question Papers, Research Papers, Courseware, News, Directory, Exam Schedule, Syllabus, Thesis and Seminar Notes.
• E-Resources: E-Books, E-Journals, E-Journal back files, Full-text database, Bibliographic databases, Dissertations & Thesis, Previous years question papers, Institutional Repositories, Video Lectures, INDEST- AICTE eResources, CD/DVD database search
• Library Services: EReference, Document lending service, Current awareness, Referral, News clippings, New arrivals, Reprography, Online printout

Computer Lab:

• Computer centre provides computational facilities to all users in the college Eligible students staff & faculty from all Department can obtain accounts on the high-end systems centre provides e-mail, web & FTP services.

Communication Skill Lab:

• These labs are well equipped and help the students to enhance their communication skills with help of software.
• Students can acquire knowledge regarding presentation, group discussion and interview skills.
• Students can learn through media and software which are recommended by standard IT companies.

Internet Lab:

• Dedicated Internet Leased line of 2 Mbps, connected to more than hundred terminals throughout the Campus. Students and faculty are free to access the internet.

Hostel:

• Universal Engineering college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with spacious, well-furnished rooms.

Transportation:

• UEC has provided an adequate number of buses for students and staff members from the suburbs of Thrissur, Guruvayoor, Chalakudy, Mala, Palakkad and Aluva districts.
• Students are provided with bus passes during the admission process. Commuters should compulsorily carry the bus passes while travelling by college buses

Sports Facilities:

• The outdoor facilities include Athletics, Football and Cricket fields, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and badminton courts and an indoor recreation hall for table tennis, chess, carom, etc.
• A multipurpose hall and a Gym are also constructed in the campus for various indoor sports and various activities.
