SID Pune Merit Scholarships

SID Pune, under the "Symbiosis International (Deemed University)", compensates students by offering various scholarships as tuition-fee waivers. Some of the SID Pune scholarships offered are elucidated below.

SID Pune Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship

The details of the Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship are given below:

• The Late Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship comes under SID Pune scholarships for PG students.
• The scholarship is offered to one female student who is the Best Outgoing Girl Student.
• The winner is awarded a Gold Medal during the convocation every year. 
• If a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/freeship by Symbiosis Society Foundation, then they are awarded only one scholarship/freeship per their preference.

SID Pune Sports Scholarships

SID Pune gives equal importance to students' extracurricular activities and academic achievements. The details of the SID Pune scholarships for sports are exhibited below:

• This Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication scholarship will be offered to five sportspeople.
• An amount of INR 24000 per annum is awarded to the students.

SID Pune NER Scholarships for Students from North-East Region

Symbiosis Institute of Design Pune scholarships are offered to meritorious students belonging to the Northeast Region of India (NER). The states include Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipal.

Students must note that this SID Pune scholarship waives only the academic fees. The rest of the expenses must be taken care of by the student.

SID Pune NER Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for this SID Pune scholarship 2024 are elucidated below:

• Only "NER" students are eligible for this SID Pune scholarship 2024.
• Indian, NRI, OCI, and PIO students are not eligible for this scholarship.
• International students in short-term, doctoral and part-time programs are not eligible.
• Candidates must pass 10+2 with more than 50% marks in aggregate.
• Postgraduate students also must pass their graduation with 50% or more marks.

SID Pune NER Scholarship Documents Required

The documents required for the NER Scholarship are exhibited below:

• A valid domicile certificate is required.
• Letter of recommendation from a Gazetted Officer/Principal of School/college.
• Statement of Purpose
• Proof of Academic Scores/Marksheets
• Any other document that the SID Pune Scholarship Committee requires during admission.

SID Pune Scholarship Policy

The terms and conditions that apply to all the students who are awarded this Symbiosis Institute of Design Pune scholarship are listed below:

• The decision of the SID Pune Scholarship Committee is final in all matters.
• The scholarship is awarded every year, and students who get this scholarship are not eligible for any other scholarships.
• In the case of a tie-breaker: If two or more students have the same GPA/CGPA score, the weighted average of academic scores from their classes 10 and 12 will be used to break the tie for the Semester I SID Pune scholarship 2024.
• SID Pune merit scholarship holders must exhibit good behaviour, maintain 80% attendance each semester and have a 7.5 CGPA at the end of each semester with no backlogs in any subject. 
• In addition, the Symbiosis University Scholarship Committee reserves the right to cancel any awarded scholarship if any document lacks authenticity. Students must show original transcripts and documents along with the scholarship application.
• If a student violates any terms and conditions of the scholarship, it will immediately cease. The amounts that have already been disbursed in that year must be paid back to the Foundation. 
• The financial status of the student’s parents does not matter for the scholarships.
• The SID Pune Scholarship 2024 amount is not given directly to the students. Instead, they are awarded as tuition-fee waivers.
