Internships are provided from second year itself to the students who have potential. Recently we had tests for ISRO internship in which I was chosen first but later due to my internship in my training both internships would have been collapsed so the college selected someone else for it. Training students are been provided with internships in coming summer after the BE exams. The highest salary this year was 12lakhs per annum to a student from ETC department. Placement percentage this year is 100% for the first time.
INTERNSHIP : I have done 6 months of INTERNSHIP in one of the IT company but that only for Project Basis so no salary was there the only Certificate they give for 6 month internship JOBS AND PLACEMENT: There are many companies where every year they came companies like, Cybage, Nice, Wipro, L&T Infotech, TCS, etc. Salary Percentage: MNC'S Pays good package whereas Small scale industry gives less so let's talk about 2016 salary percentage so cybage selected 14 students and the package is off INR 3.4 L p.a. and Nice selected 5 Students and package is INR 4.4L p.a so it all depends on which company and what for the profile they are looking for. And in 2016 70% students got placed with all above INR 2.2 L p.a. Package. Alumni Network: Every year college conduct alumni meet in a different city or in college and all the way they just tell each and every student who passed out from college so the network is all linked with them.
Tcs, amazon, byju's, Tech Mahindra, etc companies are hiring students from campus. 4 lakh is average and 10 lakhs is the highest package. CSE and IT students are more placed. College provides 6 months to a one-year internship.
Training and Placement Cell :-
Training & Placement Department is the most crucial part which plays an important role in providing opportunities to the student by arranging Campus Interviews. In SBJITMR, the Training & Placement is highly supported by its teaching faculty of various departments.
The Training & Placement Department is in constant touch with various companies for imparting industrial training and campus placement. The placement policies and other related activities are handled by T & P Officer in consultation with the Principal and the college management. All the departments have nominated their placement coordinators and are involved in the all the activities of T & P process.
T & P Officer and placement coordinators are counseling the students on one to one basis about their career aspirations and any related queries. The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements. The office is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support every stage of the placement process.
T&P department conducts various lectures on career development, personality development, resume writing, group discussions and interview techniques and provide other inputs to make our students better employable.
The department makes continuous efforts to identify needs of industries and students are trained accordingly to satisfy these needs to the maximum possible extent. It has been the department's endeavor to develop competent human resources with necessary technical skills, guide them for higher studies & motivate them to become entrepreneur instead of job seekers.
In addition to this the T&P department provides guidance to students desirous of pursuing higher education in India and Abroad.
