Infrastructure facilities at Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College, [SRKREC] Bhimavaram:

Hostel:

• The Girls Hostel with passable capacity hostel facility for girl students admitted to SRKR Engineering College.
• The hostel located just opposite the college is a convenient, safe and comfortable place with all necessary amenities for the students.
• The hostel administration is run by a Warden nominated by the college management and all major policy decisions are taken by the Hostel Committee constituted by the Governing Body of SRKR Engineering College.
• The committee includes representatives from the hostel inmates also.

Physical Education & Athletics Facilities:

• An area of 7.50 cents is provided in the college campus. An area of 15’-0” * 20’ –0” & 36’ –0” sized room and hall are provided for the physical education department.
• The material pertaining to games & sports are being provided in the college for the recreation of the students and for daily practice for both men and women.
• A tennis court, cricket pitch, courts for badminton, shuttle-badminton, basketball, football & volleyball along with a 400m running track is designed.
• Facilities for long jump, high jump, discuss, javelin and hammer throws are also made available. Indoor games as carom, chess and table tennis is arranged in a large room in the college campus.

General Computer Centre:

• The General Computer Centre (GCC) provides facilities to carry and improve the educational mission of SRKR Engineering College (SRKREC).
• GCC is equipped with state-of-art computing facilities to compliment classroom pedagogy. The centre has 5 servers and 200 nodes connected by switches and Cat 5e cabling with passable pack of system and application software.
• GCC is responsible for the core SRKR network. The GCC supports a campus wide 1000 Mbps LAN that connects all the academic departments, library and other central facilities to the GCC.
• Internet access is provided through 24*7 INTERNET connectivity through a 16 Mbps 1:1 leased line and 40 Mbps bundled broadband connection.
• GCC will provide connectivity to each Department, to the gigabit backbone, and also the necessary IP addresses.
• GCC has installed WLAN on 802.11b/g to allow accessing SRKREC computing resources (Local network and Internet) through the Wireless communication. WLAN is used to provide reliable and proper network connectivity to mobile on-campus users. In each building the college has placed the access point in a place which would be most convenient for mobile users. As of now, we have more than 15 access points in various locations.
