  • Candidates who are seeking admission under Management/ Sports/ Cultural/ PD quota should submit or send a copy of the application form specifically mentioning the quota under which admission requested.

  • Once the online application process is completed, there will be a merit list published by the institution.

  • Post the merit list publication shortlisted candidates will undergo a college allotment process for all the MGU affiliated institutions.

  • Documents required at the time of admission:

    • Allotment memo.

    • Receipt of application fee.

    • Grade XII or equivalent mark sheet.

Admission to the BA course at Sacred Heart College, Kochi is available to candidates who have passed [10+2] qualifying examination from a board/ institution recognized by MG University (Mahatma Gandhi University).

Candidates should have passed [10+2] equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the optional subjects at Plus Two level.

 

B.Sc. (Computer Applications)

Candidates should have passed [10+2] equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.

Candidates should have passed [10+2] equivalent examination with Physics as one of the optional subjects.

 

B.Sc. (Botany)

Candidates should have passed [10+2] equivalent examination with Biology as one of the optional subjects.

B.Sc. (Zoology)

BCA (Mobile Applications and Cloud Technology)

 

Candidates should have passed the [10+2] equivalent examination with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the optional subjects.

 


B.Com:

  • Candidates who have passed [10+2] qualifying examination from an institution/ board recognized by the Mahatma Gandhi University with Book-Keeping and Accountancy and any two of the following subjects as optional subjects:

    • Commerce

    • Commercial Correspondence and Commercial Geography

    • Economics

    • Life Insurance with Salesmanship

    • Banking with Secretarial Practice

    • Business Studies

    • Mathematics

    • Computer Science/ Computer applications

    • Informatics Practice& Management

    • Informatics Practice

    • Management

    • Accountancy

  • Candidates that have passed the [10+2] qualifying examination with other subjects than as mentioned above need to have secured a minimum of 45% as aggregate.

  • For SC/ST only a pass minimum is necessary, and for SEBC & OEC applicants there is a relaxation of 3% and 5% respectively.


BBA:

Candidates looking for admission to BBA Integrated Marketing and New Media should have passed [10+2] equivalent examination recognized by MG University.


MA/ M.Sc/ M.Com:

  • Eligible candidates must have passed the degree qualifying examination from the following two schemes followed by any recognized University/ Institution recognized by the MGU:

  1. One core/ main subject and two complementary/ Subsidiary subjects

  2. Double or Triple main subjects.

  • Candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations in a Vocational of Specialized programmes are also eligible for admission.

  • However, candidates not falling into the scheme (ii) will need to submit a copy of the eligibility/equivalency certificate from MGU which states the recognition of the qualifying examination.

  • This is not applicable to candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from MGU.


MA:

  • Candidates need to have graduated with the core subject of the relevant stream and must have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate(equivalent CGPA of 4.5 out of 10.0) as aggregate marks.

  • If the candidate has scored more in the whole course than the core subject/ main subject, then the higher score will be used to calculate the index score, provided that the higher score is more than 50% (equivalent to 5.0 CGPA out of 10.0).

Graduates in any discipline with minimum 45% (CGPA equivalent of 4.5 out of 10.0) with Core subject in the relevant field [as scheme(i) or scheme(ii)]

An additional aptitude test and personal interview will be conducted by the institute.

M.Sc (Pure Chemistry)

Candidate should have a B.Sc Chemistry or Petrochemicals [as scheme(i) or scheme(ii)] degree with not less than 50% marks (equivalent to 5.0 on CGPA out of 10.0) 

M.Sc (Applied Chemistry)

Candidate should have a B.Sc Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications [as scheme(i) or scheme(ii)] degree with not less than 50% marks (equivalent to 5.0 on CGPA out of 10.0)

M.Sc (Aqua Culture and Fish Processing)

Candidate should have a B.Sc Industrial Fish and Fisheries/ Aquaculture/ Zoology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Fishery Science [as scheme(i) or scheme(ii)] degree with not less than 50% marks (equivalent to 5.0 on CGPA out of 10.0) 

M.Sc (Environment Science)

Candidate should have a B.Sc in Botany/ Zoology/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Environmental Science/ Environment Management/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry/ any branch of Life Science or  Geology [as scheme(i) or scheme(ii)] degree with not less than 50% marks (equivalent to 5.0 on CGPA out of 10.0)


M.Com:

Candidate must have a B.Com/BBA/BBM degree [under scheme(i) or scheme(ii)] with a minimum of 45% aggregate score(equivalent to 4.5 on CGPA out of 10.0).
