Clubs & Associations : There is a Students union club, Scouts and guide, NCC. Our college NCC is the oldest and biggest in Guwahati. Life in the college is really up to you if you want you can take part in many events that are up to you. And the Brahmaputra river is nearby which makes it a nice place.

Academics & Faculty : Daily classes start at 9:30 am. The timings will vary depending on your course and your semester. Major courses classes start from 12:45 till 2:15 pm. The method of teaching here is not very modern. But the teachers are very friendly and will clear your any doubt. I find the teachers very good, they know how to make students understand a particular topic. The classes are regular here. No teacher will never miss any class, especially in the majors. So my overall experience in this college is pretty good. I made some really good friends here.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is only one hostel and that is for Girls. No hostel for boys. There are PG's and private hostels. Some are good and some are very bad. You will have a pretty hard time finding your right PG/hostel if you don't have someone who is familiar with the area with you. The food in the college is really cheap as compared to outside. And it is really good. Some classrooms are good and some are bad. The college has a nice library, decent labs and wifi.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The Eligibility criteria for admission in BSc Mathematics in Pragjyotish College is obviously 10+2. Typical cut off for Mathematics Department is about 72 % for general and about 65% for OBC. You have to go to the college office to collect the admission form, and there they will tell you the date of admission. On the date of admission, the admission will take place in a Hall. There they will call your name out accordingly to your total marks. If your marks are high you get the admission soon enough and if your marks are low you will have to wait.

Placements & Internships : Well, I have not done any internship and stipend. In mathematics Department, if your aggregate is high you can get a job in Banks. The average salary is about 25k starting. The alumni network is strong in our college.

Fees & Scholarships : Average course fee per year will be about 10k. And yeah few students are offered scholarships. The average number of students who get scholarships is about 15- 20. And I don't think you will not need any kind of Loans because the fee is not so high. And if you have a BPL card you will be given free education.
