A bachelor's dentistry course for 4 years is a BDS or Bachelor of Dental Science course. If the student wishes to opt for an internship, the BDS course duration can be extended to 5 years. MDS Program

MDS is a post-graduation course for three years after BDS that deals with the study of teeth development, anatomy, and diseases.
