Eligibility Criteria at NEF Law College, Guwahati:

Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB {Hons.}:

• The candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination with minimum 45% aggregate for general candidates, 42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ ST.
• The candidates should not aged more than 20 years (22 years for SC / ST candidates ).

Eligibility Criteria for LLB:

• The candidates should have a Graduate in any discipline from recognized university with a minimum of 45% aggregate for general candidates, 42% for OBC category and 40% for SC / ST.
• The candidates should not be aged more than 30 years (35 years for SC / ST / OBC candidates).

Eligibility Criteria for LLM:

• The candidates should have completed LLB / Five Year Integrated Degree in Law from a recognized University with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

• The candidates can also get application form along with prospects in person from the college and also through post by sending a DD of application fee.

Admission Process at NEF Law College, Guwahati:

Admission Process for BA LLB {Hons}, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB:

• The admissions will be purely done on the basis of merit in Entrance Examination conducted by college and the candidates appeared for 10+2 are eligible to take up the entrance exam.

Admission Process for LLB:

• The admissions will be done strictly on the basis of merit.

Admission Process for LLM:

• The admissions will be done strictly on the basis of merit and all the eligible candidate shall have to appear in a Written Test consisting of One Paper of four-hour duration carrying 200 Marks followed by Viva Voce. 

Certificates Required:

• Birth Certificate or HSLC or equivalent Examination Certificate.
• HSLC & HS or equivalent examination Marksheets & Pass Certificate.
• Degree Mark sheet & Pass Certificate (if not passed Five Year Integrated law programme).
• LLB / Five Year Law Marksheets & Pass Certificates (for LLM only).
• Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.
• Caste / Tribe Certificate from Competent Authority (if applicable).
• Migration Certificate (wherever applicable. It can be submitted after Admission).
