During my period of studying in NPGC (2012-15) there were nil job opportunities provided by companies in college
For getting admission in NPGC we need to give an entrance examination and the selection is based on cut off and rank. This was the procedure for my Bsc course. And later, counselling is done to verify all important documents.
Events and workshops are held for for students to gain knowledge. This year an inter college competition named "Comfest 2019" was held in our college. This event consisted of competitions like ad-mad, quizzes, collage and poster making competitions, etc.
Exams are conducted semester wise. Every year consists of 2 semesters. You have to make assignments for all subjects for both the semesters. The topic for assignment will be told you by the respective teachers. I really love the way the teachers teach us. Teachers here really have a very helpful nature.
Fees for regular and self finance is different. The students who get selected in regular have to pay lesser fees than the self finance ones.
Minimum Average salary package offered for freshers is around Rs. 15000/-. Various companies recruit a large number of hardworking and talented students of Ntional pg college every year.
You can pursue your studies from National PG College (NPGC) after passing 12th class. NPGC is considered as one of the best colleges of commerce in Uttar Pradesh. For getting admission in this college you will have to pass the entrance exam which is conducted by the college itself. The dates of entrance exams for various courses are uploaded on the college website every year. This college mainly focuses on academic and disciplinary development of students. Mobile phones are not allowed in college, 75% attendance is compulsary in every subject, id cards are compulsarily to be worn along with the college uniform.
Only the independence day is celebrated in our college and the college management does not have a relation with the fresher's party or the farewell party of the students.
The food served in the college canteen is of the best quality and I do not know about the hostel facilities.
The quality of teaching is very good. All staff members are highly educated and well trained. They all are well experienced. They give the assignments in all the subjects and the classes run regularly
Yes, the facility of the scholarship is also available from the college.
Yet I have not done any internship but I have heard about the internship from the college. They help the students to be recruited.
The students of any stream can give the entrance exam for commerce stream of npgc. The eligibility must not be less than 50% of any stream. My entrance exam was scheduled in npgc itself. The cutoffs of entrance exams depend on the no. Of students who are appearing for the entrance.
Campus has no dedicated fest as such. Only cultural competitions on Independence Day and Republic day are held. College life is more of school life.
There are separate hostels for girls and boys with the boys hostel fees being INR 60,000 per year. Those who dont want a hostel can seek nearby PG. College hostel is really cheap if you compare and the hostel is also good. Classrooms are of okay type. Library is huge with a vast variety of books for different streams. No wifi in boys hostel but it is available in girls hostel.
Classes for different courses have different timings mostly in 2 shifts (morning 8:00 to 10:30) (afternoon 10:30 to 1:00). Teachers mostly have Ph.D in their subjects with brilliant teaching abilities.
The course fee is INR 5000-6000 for Regular & INR 22000 for self-finance. There are government scholarships available for the students who have financial constraints (family income is low). Loan facility is not available by the college as the fee is already not much.
Last year Google came to the campus and offered a salary of INR 15000 per month to the B.Com final year students.
To get into B.Com course of National Post Graduate College, Lucknow hereafter NPGC, you have to get through an entrance examination conducted by the college. Form filling process starts roughly in May and the entrance examination is conducted in the month of June. There is a huge competition to get into the B.Com course of the college as it is ranked as the 26th best Commerce College of India. Total intake for the course is 550, divided into 2 categories 1) Regular (Government aided; less fee; nearly 5k -6k) 2) self-finance (nearly Rs. 22,000 fees) The college has one of the best commerce faculty. Placements are also done in the college. It is ranked 1st in India among Anthropology colleges. The only setback is in NPGC you don't have a college life (what you see in TV or videos) it's more of a school, you wear a uniform, teachers will ask you to get a hair cut, you have to wear an ID card etc. But if you want to study? Go for it!!!
There's NSS and NCC running in the college. The main events are the Annual sports meet, Cricket tournament, OAZ (Kind of feast) . It is not culturally very attractive college though its kind of boring. It give more emphasis on studies therefore other than studies it not so good.
College has its own Girls and Boys hostels. I don't its per month fee. There are lots of PGs outside the college ranging from 6-8k per month. Food is good in the college canteen. Everyday there's a new menu at reasonable price. Quality of classrooms are not so good as it looks little old fashioned. Weather labs and library is very nice. There's a different reading room with air conditioners. Infrastructure is fine. It's a small college.
College is little strict when it comes to academics. Our college have reputation of one of the best colleges in terms of education. Teachers are very knowledgeable and supporting. Classes are of 50 mins each and classes for every subjects ( For BA course) held at two times a day. There are 2 unit tests in each semester consisting of 10 marks each. 5 marks are for assignment and 5 for class performance and attendance. Quality of teaching is very nice and improving as new teachers and adding up every year. Its very rare case when classes doesn't happen. Teachers are very punctual and dedicated. English literature department is just amazing. Overall it's a good ambience and seniors are also very supportive.
Being a regular student I only have to pay 6,000 per year. For self finance students its upto 14,000. There's also scholarship facilities for meritorious and poor students. I don't think load is needed. As it's fee structure is already too less and it also provide scholarships.
Placement facility is not that good but it is getting better with time. In the year 2018, Google came for recruitment. Many more companies like Wipro, ICICI Bank, TCS, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, British Telecom etc also recruit graduates of NPGC. NPGC is the only degree college affiliated with Lucknow University that provides placement. Salary package goes upto 3.5-4 lakh per annum with additional facilities. In 2018, 6 graduates from B.com, BBA and BA courses got placements in various companies.
For Bachelor of Arts, one must passed in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate at +2 level. Admission will be done through entrance test LUACMAT.
There are 2 hostels one for girls and one for boys. The fee is 5,500 per month and Other takes 2,500 p.m. There is a proper infrastructure. it is ok.
Timings are good 8:00 to 10:30 am .there 6 assignment, 2 unit tests and one external exam in each semester. Quality n method of teaching is good but needs some practical approaches. Overall experience is boring, busy, and like school, there should programs and awareness among students.
National Post Graduate College, [NPGC] Lucknow Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 22,000. Scholarships are there for financially weak sections I think around 100 students. No, the loan is not needed
No internship. There are various companies come for campus selection like HCL MICROSOFT and Many more. Average salary is around 20,000 to 25,000, Placement per cent is 30 took place every year. No connection with alumni or in the form of teachers.
Eligibility criteria is 55% from commerce or science background in 12th class. There is entrance exam for the course. Cut off was still 390 rank only.
Admission is based on an entrance examination (LUACMAT) Eligibility for BSc courses is 10+2 in PCM and 50% marks.
No fests. No functions. Also, the uniform sucks. No student clubs and no post class interactions with seniors and juniors.
Hostel and pg are outside the campus. Food is excellent and hygienic here. Per meal would cost around 50 bucks Classrooms are big. Airy. No ac and Wifi. Phones are not allowed in the campus.
Classes are 3 hrs long. Method of teaching is basically average but better than the university. College is good for education but if you expect any co-curricular. Better not come here.
INR 17000 for 2 semesters so no need of loans Scholarships is from govt. So you don't need to worry about anything.
Recently Google hired some students so think of the standards for b.sc the avg salary goes around INR 18-20k per month gen tech like companies. For computer students, it goes around INR 50k avg.
The college conducts its own entrance exam. And the admission is on the basis of the same. 150 students in every stream. Best to approach for b.com and b.sc in anthropology 55% is the cutoff for every subject.
The eligibility criteria for admission are to have. Minimum 55℅ in board exams. You require your documents for the admission procedure, Yes, entrance exams have to be given and only those who pass are selected The cut off is very low for art course it increases with commerce and science.
College also provides NCC and NSS, the students can join various clubs and societies in their extra activities. There are many functions like oaj which includes various types of activities which are talent based, poster competition, writing competition, debates, tech activities, they also provide participation for combined college-level competition, they have sports facilities and also conduct sports day. According to my experience living in this college for a science student is very hectic, the student should prepare with the truth that after 12th he/she would enjoy their college life but here its more or less a school life.
Infrastructure: College have a separate science block which is not as big as university. There is a canteen which is quite good than most of the colleges . They provide good delicious stuff which are hygienic too. Hostel Facility: College do provide hostel facility separate for boys and girls . The hostel has its separate building near college itself. For girls there are both ac and non ac rooms and for boys there are only non ac rooms . The students have to fill a separate form for hostel facility and their selection is done on 12th percentage. Average rates of hostels is between INR 60,000-80,000 pa. Now talking about college's classrooms so they are average but are way better than old govt colleges, the seats and furniture are in well condition, rooms are non ac, college also have 2 Computer labs, physicslab , chemistry lab, zoology lab and the facilities are good.there is also a wifi provided by the college but for college work only, students are strictly restricted to bring mobile phones in college campus and checking is done surprisingly any time so it is better nit to carry your phones in classrooms ,if you take mobiles for reason that you come from long routes than you must keep it in your own scooty or anyone's whom you konw before entering the classroom. They also have a library which issues the student's books of their course and they try to provide each and every student with this facility. With this they also have a separate Reading Room in which student can go and read and study whatever he/she wants in free time with no discomfort.
The classes start at 8:00 am and each lecture is 1&1/2 hr and the dismissal time is different for different combinations. It varies from 11:15 am-2:15 pm. Every year the dismissal timings change accordingly. Now talking about quality and method of teaching, I would say its more or less than a school type method, if a student is regular enough in each and every classes then they will not have any problem as they will have their notes well maintained. According to me, the college is good for those who want a school environment in college so if you are thinking of taking admission then it is better not to expect a fancy college life which most of the students dream in their school days. Students are given assignments in each semester, and also there are two internal test of 10-10 marks each if each subject and the final semester paper is of 70 marks,10 marks are of internals+assignment.
Course fees varies from different combinations you choose. Average fee is INR 15000-25000 Per Annum. There is a scholarship option provide to students who scores good cgpa. The students get a notice about this scholarship in the college.
This college do provide placements.Tge one scoring a good cgpa and extra skills has more chances to get a good placement. Most of the BSc computer students are provided with placements. Compaies like TCS, Cocentrix, HCL, British Telecom, Capital First limited etc comes to offer placements. Average salary may vary from INR 10000-30000.
Eligibility:The college conducts an entrance exams for different courses. For BSc maths group and biology group also there are two different exams and admission is based on the rank scored . Entrance exam course:Its a 100 mcq paper with 50 questions based on +2 subjects,20general studies,20 reasonings and aptitude,5+5 based on general English and hindi.
