Fees & Scholarships : The fee structure is dependent on the background of the person. The Institute in accordance with the MHRD rules provides relaxation to students on the basis of family income and the category to which person belongs. For ST Category its 16400 rupees college fees + 25900 rupees hostel fees per semester. I haven't availed any such scholarship but the college does provide monetary help. The college provides monetary help to students going to other places to represent our college. The college also provides mess relaxation to the needy.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of JEE Main followed by JoSAA counselling. For B.Arch, candidates are selected on the basis of NATA entrance examination followed by CoA counselling. 

Placements & Internships : Placement at NIT Hamirpur at good at computer Science department which in 2019 is 1.2 crore the highest and in 2018 was 62.5 Lacs. Talking about the average package as on the official site it was about 6.41 Lacs in 2016-2017 but has increased in 2017-2018-2019 but the actual figures are shown on the site. Taking about other branches after CSE placement is good at ECE branch Electrical, Mechanical. The lowest package offered is 3-5 Lacs by mass recruiter companies. As NIT Hamirpur is located in a hilly area so many companies try to avoid coming to campus for placement. The faculty here is very good and supporting. They have in depth knowledge of their respective fields. They support student innovation and are ready to help the students in every possible way. They are good natured too.

Academics & Faculty : Timings for classes are from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. Each subject consists of atleast 2-3 class tests and assignments. Project works are given according to the faculty. The faculty here is very good and supporting. They have in depth knowledge of their respective fields. They support student innovation and are ready to help the students in every possible way. They are good-natured too. I am satisfied with the college infrastructure and working. The college supports us in the best possible way. The make sure student is provided with help as soon as possible and no delays are there so that student time is not wasted.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 11 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels. For everyone hostel fees is same that is 25900 rupees. The Hostel facilities are good but need improvement. The food is good but could be better. The rooms and mess etc in good condition. On an overall scale, I think the college needs renovation. Otherwise, the infrastructure can be considered satisfying. For each person 100 per meal in any hostel. Quality of rooms(classrooms, Labs, Libraries, Dining halls) are high according to the requirements and they get maintained daily. The whole college is provided with jio wifi which gives 1 GB data per mobile number.

Clubs & Associations : The college celebrates two fests in a year. The cultural fest is called Hill'fair and we celebrated during October or November. The technical fest called Nimbus is celebrated during March or April. Both the fests are celebrated and organized in a very nice way. The extracurricular activities are also quite supported. The college also celebrates annual sports meet called Lalkaar where students compete in many sports. Lab work is also there. We have weekly labs for major subjects.
