The National Institute of Industrial Engineering offers scholarship grants to students with academic excellence, low-income families and ST/SC/OBC students. The scholarships are awarded based on merit and will not be influenced or tested by any other award, grant, or reward held by the scholarship candidate. More details regarding the NITIE Mumbai scholarship are given below.
Financial assistance (Fellow Program)
Financial assistance is provided only to regular full-time fellow candidates per Ministry of Education guidelines. To be eligible for financial assistance, the candidate must fulfil the following criteria:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology through GATE qualification preferably within the last five years.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, or Pure Sciences with valid GATE/UGC-NET/UGC-NET-JRF qualification.
- SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India.
NITIE Scholarship Type 1
- NITIE Mumbai Scholarships Category 1 offers students a 30% tuition cost remission. This fee waiver is available to postgraduate students whose total family income in the previous fiscal year was less than INR 2.50 lakh.
NITIE Scholarship Type 2
- NITIE Mumbai Scholarships Type 2 provides a 50% tuition cost waiver: This fee waiver is available to all postgraduate students whose total family income in the previous fiscal year was less than INR 1.00 lakh.
