National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, [NIFTEM] Sonepat Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 65,000 per semester. Aicte scholarship to GATE qualified candidates which is INR 12,400 per month. The average number of students is 15 out of 18 who get scholarships. Loans are very easily availed through SBI
NIFTEM - A Gateway to a Promising Career
National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) was conceptualized by Government of India on persistent demand of the food industry to have an apex body as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the various problems of the sector. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India has set up this institute with an initial investment of Rs. 500 crore (US $100 million). The institute is spread over an area of 100 acres. The institute intends to act as a centre of excellence and an apex world class centre of global standards in the area of food technology and management. It will cater to the needs of various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, industries, exporters, policy makers, government and existing institutions. NIFTEM being an apex institution under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) have developed strong linkages with industries.

NIFTEM would be an apex information resource centre on aspects of food processing including information on products, technologies, management practices, food standards, markets etc, NIFTEM would specifically focus on providing comprehensive information to exporters in the food sector. NIFTEM would provide incubator services to enable entrepreneurs to develop sustainable businesses. On the strength of in-depth industry expertise provided by NIFTEM’s resources pool, which can in turn catalyze the growth of the food processing sector by nurturing world-class entrepreneurs.
The Vision for NIFTEM is to set up an International centre of excellence which integrates technological, managerial and behavioral aspects of the Indian Food Processing industry with the clear objective of catapulting the sector to the numero uno position in the world. Unlike the existing food science institutes in India, NIFTEM will function as a centre for integrated education, research, enterprise incubation and outreach in the area of food science, technology and business. Experts believe that there will be significant economic gains from incubation and enterprise development, which can in turn catalyze the growth of the Food Processing Sector in the national and international spheres by nurturing world class entrepreneurs.
