Munger University was established on 18th March 2018 under the Bihar State Universities (Amendment) Act, 2016. Munger University was started with a vision to create advanced quality learning, achieve academic excellence, disseminate liberal knowledge, and teach professional skills catering. In addition, they aim to create socially responsible individuals for the betterment of the nation and the world. It is a state-level university located in the city of Munger, Bihar. Munger University, Bihar, has 17 constituent colleges, 12 affiliated colleges, five single faculty education colleges (Affiliated B. Ed. Colleges), and one affiliated law college. The UGC and AIU recognise the University.

Different courses offered are in the field of management, science, and art. Their specialisation is English, Hindi, Philosophy, History, Geography, Polity, Psychology, Commerce, Biology, Zoology, Physics, Maths, Economics, Psychology, and Botany.
