Medical College, Kolkata is one of the oldest medical colleges in Asia, formerly known as Calcutta Medical College. The institution is well recognised at the national and international levels for its excellence in research work, medical education and patient care. Library: The Medical College Kolkata library, founded in 1839, is the oldest medical library in British India. It has a massive collection of books and is equipped with the required amenities. 

Canteen: Within the Kolkata Medical College campus, there are two canteens for students, teachers, physicians, staff, and patients. One canteen is located on the first level of the new hostel building, while the other is located on the ground floor of the Ratri Niwas building. Medical College Kolkata has a sufficient number of authorised tea, coffee, and snack corners. 

Hostel: Kolkata Medical College hostel offers accommodation facilities for students. The hostel rooms are furnished with the required amenities. Furthermore, all students living in the hostels have access to mess facilities.
