Among many reasons, the prime reason students choose MS University is for its generous and amicable faculties. With an easy and straightforward admission process imparting quality education, the university indeed sits atop among the most preferred colleges in the state.

Even though most of the facilities available have been well appreciated by the student lot, some drawbacks have also been flagged. For instance, the poor quality of food in the hostel, the lack of medical facilities and a mixed review of the administrative staff.

A shocking aspect that comes to light while skimming through the organic student reviews online is the absence of WiFi in most of the places inside the college campus. In the current age that the students are studying, it is crucial to have internet access. Several online resources are available for knowledge sharing. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and research courses. These courses are provided in the fields of Animal Science, Economics, Marine Science, Education, English, Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, and many more. Apart from the regular courses, MS University also offers distance education courses.

These course curricula are relevant and updated with the present demands of the industry. The program syllabi are also structured as per the latest guidelines as prescribed by the University Grants Commission and other statutory bodies. The university is housed amongst the greeneries, with ample space for the students to move around and interact. 

Overall, students can be herding gushing about the facilities provided by the university. Many of the students have expressed that the sole purpose for their joining the university is for the well-maintained and current infrastructure. Overall, the campus is clean and hygienic.

The classrooms of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University are well-maintained and ventilated. The university maintains a robust library system. It is well-stocked and provides all the necessary resources required for the courses. It is also equipped with anti-plagiarism software, wifi, and digital format books.

MS University also has well-equipped lab equipment. However, one of the significant challenges that the students face is the location of the university. It is located far away from the central city. For this reason, there is a transportation hassle that the students have to overcome daily. 

When it comes to sports, the college organises various sports activities and events to keep the student's engagement in physical activities high. The university holds intercollegiate tournaments for men and women, inter-collegiate athletic meets for men and women, and inter-university tournaments. 

Affordable and Comfortable Hostels

MS University provides residential facilities for boys and girls. Annually, the students need to pay around INR 12,000 towards the hostel fees. The hostel contains all the necessary facilities like a chair, table, water purifier, dining hall, food, and many more.

It also has a dedicated mess which provides nutritious and healthy foods to the hostellers. Not only this, it also comprises a computer lab with internet facilities. The premises are safe and secured with 24x7 surveillance and security.

Given the hostel charges and fees, it is safe to say that it goes easy on the students’ pockets when it comes to availing hostel. Students can also opt for the paying guest option available in the town. However, they are limited in numbers.

Since the campus is located outside the perimeter of the central city, students might have a dearth of local places to hang around after college hours.
