Maharishi Dayanand University offers various scholarships to students. These scholarships are offered to the students to pursue their education without any hurdles. Further details regarding the MDU scholarships are given below.

University Merit Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
The Vice-Chancellor will grant the following scholarships, to be known as University Merit Scholarships, on the basis of various University Examination outcomes each year. Unless otherwise stated, these scholarships are valid for the duration of the course of study listed against each category. The following are the number and amount of each scholarship: -Note: The scheme is only open to students who are enrolled in institutions or institutes that are affiliated with or administered by this university.On the basis of the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I results (Pass Course)One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a portion thereof in each group, i.e. Humanities, Science, and Commerce, to pursue B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. II (pass) with a minimum of one scholarship in each group.	Rs.200/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Honours )One scholarship for each subject for standing first in the aggregate of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons.) Part-I exam. for doing the respective degree course.	Rs.200/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of LL.B. Part-I 1st year (I&II Sem.)One scholarship for LL.B. course for standing first in the aggregate of LL.B. Part-I (I & II Semester) for doing LLB Course	Rs.200/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of Visharda (MDU)One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof for joining Shastri course (M.D.U. Rohtak and Gurukul Jhajjar Scheme) in any of the associate institutions of M.D.U., Rohtak.	Rs.200/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of Uttar Madyama (Gurukul Scheme)One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof for joining Shastri Course (M.D.U., Rohtak and Gurukul Jhajjar scheme) in any of the associate Institutions of M.D.U., Rohtak	Rs.200/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Final (Pass Course)One scholarship for every 1000 candidates or a part thereof in each group i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce for doing M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. subject to a minimum one scholarship in each group.	Rs.300/- Per Month

On the basis of Shastri's findings,Two scholarships (one for each plan) are available for Acharya or M.A. studies (Sanskrit). The Shastri examination scholarship(s) would be available to students enrolling in the Acharya course at the Shrimad Dayanand Vidyapeeth, Jhajjar, despite the fact that this institution has associate status with this University.Except for courses delivered through distance education, all normal and full-time degree programmes, including M.Phil., will be included in the merit scholarship schemes. Students in all courses with a separate entity will be eligible for these scholarships. The course nomenclature, exam scheme, and length of the course should all be taken into account when defining the independent entity. For each such course, a minimum of one scholarship will be offered, with an additional one awarded to per 1000 students.	Rs.300/- Per Month
On the basis of the result of B.B.A/BCA/B.Tech.-1st (Ist & IInd Sem.)One scholarship for each course for standing Ist in the aggregate of BBA/BCA/B.Tech.Part-1(I & IInd Sem. together) for doing the respective degree course.The scheme shall be open to the students of the colleges/Institutes affiliated or maintained with this University only. PG Stipends

Eligibility	Amount
For the students who have joined any of M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./MBA/Diploma in Journalism and Computer Science and LL.B.(3 years course) after having passed B.Sc.-III(Pass or Hons.). One stipend for M.Ed. students who have joined the course after having passed B.Ed. examination with first division.ORB.A./B.Com.-III (Pass or Hons.) B.A.,B.Ed./B.Com.B.Ed. with atleast 55% marks.ORThe lower qualifying Exam. prescribed for joining the LL.B.(3 years course in first division).	Rs.300/- Per Month

General Stipends

Eligibility	Amount
On the proposal of the Vice-Chancellor, General Stipends would be provided to deserving students not exceeding one in each normal degree course in University teaching departments and the PG Regional Centre, Rewari, on a merit basis.	Rs.200/- Per Month

Lion Joseph Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
One scholarship is allowed in the University for P.G. student of University Teaching Departments on Merit basis.	Rs.200/- Per Month

Haryana State Merit Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
Haryana State Merit Scholarships will be offered to students who have passed the University's B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Final Examination in the current year and are enrolled as regular students in MD University's maintain/affiliated colleges/UTD/PGRC Rewari as M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./B.Ed.	Decide by the Govt. of Haryana

Pehlwan Harnarayan Phogat Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
This scholarship will be given to a normal M.A.(Final) Physical Education student (on merit) at M.D. University, Rohtak, who has passed M.A.(Previous) Physical Education in the first try and is a wrestler.	Rs.100/- Per Month

Dr Silak Ram Phogat Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
This scholarship will be given to a regular student of MD. University, Rohtak's M.A.(Final) History program who has chosen to specialize in Archaeology in the M.A. Final Class. This grant will be given to a student who has successfully completed M.A. Previous, History in their first attempt.	Rs.100/- Per Month

Sh Bimal Prashad Jain Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility	Amount
This one-year scholarship will be given to the MBA 3rd Semester student who received the highest marks in the first and second semesters combined in the first attempt. The scholarship will be offered to the next eligible candidate if the eligible candidate for this program receives or becomes eligible for any other scholarship (excluding fee concession/stipend).	Rs.250/- Per Month
