Founded in the 1968 as MAHARSHI DAYANAND COLLEGE it soon emerged as a pioneering institute on the academic horizan with a mission promoted by the group of professionals with a firm commitment to "strive ceaselessly to make responsible and responsive citizens by providing quality education."Initially as a Degree College in Science, presently, the College offers bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, Arts, Computer application, Law and master's degree in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, English Literature, Geography, Drawing & Painting & Commerce. In the year 2003, the institute created history as being the first Law College in Sri Ganganagar. It has been established with an objective to prove itself an ideal institute of imparting legal education to provide social engineers to the society.

The vision of the institute is to impart knowledge and understanding to develop communication skills and confidence to enable the students to make their own observations, analysis, evaluation and decision. To achieve this purpose, the students are trained by exposing them to live problems, situations and circumstances through teaching, discussions, assignments, examinations, experiments, seminars, conferences, publications, Court visits, Moot Courts and also research in urban and rural parts of the country.
