Maharajah’s Post-.Graduate College, Phool Baugh, Vizianagaram, has been a constituent of MANSAS (Maharajah Alak Narayan Society of Arts & Science) Trust. The MANSAS Trust, was established on 12-11-1958 by Dr. P.V.G.Raju, Raja Sahib of Viziangaram, who donated a major extent of his landed property for the cause of education. The educational institutions established by MANSAS Trust are well known for imparting value based quality education, at an affordable price.

Maharajah’s College, Viziangaram, popularly known as M.R.College, was established in 1879, which introduced P.G.Courses in November 1987. In the first year, only three, namely, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Economics and the Department of History, were started on the premises of M.R.College for Education, with 5 teachers and 87 students.

1. Digitalized Library and Book Bank Facility- The College opted for a digital form of library with a 20,000 book stock with access to international and national journals, magazines and periodicals. The library has 20 computer systems to access the internet with a 2 Mbps speed and also provides for a book issue facility.

2. Hostel Facility- The College provides separate hostel facilities for boys and Girls with an accommodation capacity of up to 70 female students and 60 male students. The college hostels are located at a distance of 2 km from the campus and have well-furnished rooms and all modern amenities.

3. Committees- For uninterrupted functioning of the college have set-up various committees. The college has academic co-ordination committees, finance and purchasing committee, campus and civil works committee, cultural literal activities committee, sports committee, library committee, the discipline committee, the research committee and women welfare committee.

The college campus is spread over an area of 10 acres of land in Phoolbaugh area of Vizianagaram. Placements:-

A placement cell is established in the year 2004. The placement officer, who looks after the placement cell, collects the bio-data of the out going students and informs them about various opportunities that arise from time to time. The officer contacts various organizations and invities their HR managers to select students from various disciplines, through campus interviews.
