Scholarships:

• Kuvempu University gives utmost importance to student welfare. They have hence come up with a directorate of student welfare that helps to monitor student welfare activities.
• The directorate plays a major role in awarding scholarships and fellowships to students.
• Students are eligible to apply for a scholarship if they have secured more that 75% in their 12th Std course and 70% in the entrance examination.
• There is a special cell for the SC/ST students which sanctions fellowship and scholarships to students belonging to this category. 

NSS Scheme

• The National Service Scheme Wing provides training to the undergraduate students by organizing annual camps, national camps, and socially useful programs.
• It also coordinates the adult literacy programs in which the students participate actively.
• The NSS Wing has won a number of awards at the State and higher levels including the Best University in NSS. 
• Apart from the aforementioned initiatives, the students are eligible to apply for student educational loans from the University.
