KREA University is a private University situated in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, India. The university was established in 2018 under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities Act of 2018 and the institution specializes in the liberal arts and science discipline. KREA University was established initially by a group of donors, intellectuals, academicians, and industrialists led by the former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Raghuram Rajan, and the institution was officially inaugurated in November 2018. Initially, the campus was operated from the Institute for Financial Management and Research campus and then was moved to its original campus by 2020. The university is approved by UGC and it offers good hostel accommodations with all the relevant facilities. KREA University offers courses in science and liberal arts. The courses follow a unique interwoven learning process that includes academics as well as experiential learning. The guiding principles of the curriculum are - research-based learning, writing-intensive, immersive learning, ethics, historicity, data analytics, and interdisciplinary elements. KREA University’s core values are ethics, excellence, inclusivity, and accountability. Every decision and action is taken each day must, without exception, be ethical and transparent, strive towards extraordinary standards of excellence, celebrate diversity and inclusivity, and represent the most efficient and accountable use of scarce resources. The college offers a 3 year BA (Honours) and BSc (Honours) degrees with an option to do an additional fourth year of Advanced Studies. This is to equip the students with the confidence, purpose, and capacity for creative and critical thinking.
The programs are designed to offer both breadth and depth with a range of majors and electives. All majors and minors are housed in the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, Division of Literature and Arts, and Division of Sciences respectively. Students will complete required and elective courses towards the major in accordance with the guidelines provided in each individual major description. They will also be encouraged to choose cognate and/or elective courses in other disciplines. These additional courses may fulfill the requirements of a minor, or simply reflect the breadth of disciplinary knowledge available at KREA. A maximum of two courses may be double-counted. In addition, KREA students will complete a collaboratively taught Core course in their second year, and a capstone project/thesis in their third year.

The college provides several facilities for its students building an ambient environment for education and for providing an exciting campus life. The infrastructures include a library, hostel, sports, cafeteria, smart classrooms, wellness committee, and many more. The library includes a rich collection of over 30,000 books on various aspects of Management, Social Sciences, Literature, and more. Also, the library boasts of over 105 Indian and International journals in print form and more than 4500 e-journals available through Online databases. The library also has a varied collection of Audio Visual materials in the form of CD-Roms and DVDs. It subscribes to six online databases that provide access to Industry/ Company statistical information. A fully automated system ensures efficient delivery of library services and circulation of books and other library material. OPAC: provides the facility of searching, browsing, and reserving physical materials available at the library. The sprawling 8000 sq ft student lounge and other recreational lounges are equipped with amenities to unwind. The Open Air Theatre is a cultural space and popular venue that allows the creative juices to flow while the Fitness Centre with the state-of-the-art gym, spread over 2000 sq ft and is equipped with the latest facilities. Physical activity is an integral part of life at KREA, and it reflects on the campus design too. Students have access to facilities like indoor badminton courts, basketball court, futsal, football court, cricket nets, open grounds for athletics, and indoor table tennis. The college places an emphasis on a balanced and wholesome diet to promote healthy eating. The dining hall serves a range of multi-regional and multi-cultural cuisine. Students also get a chance to try their hands at organic farming and cooking to form a more intimate relationship with food. KREA leverages state-of-the-art technology to ensure students have a seamless campus experience. The institution also utilizes upcoming virtual-reality and e-learning tools for students to keep up with digital learning trends. Spaces in the academic block, seminar halls, science labs, maker’s labs, and media labs contribute to the enhanced learning experience. The nursing care is available round-the-clock on campus, and an expert medical professional visits the campus on a weekly basis. Regular sessions on mental well being are organized by the Office of Student Life. A salon facility, well-stocked convenience store, and ATM are located within the campus to cater to essentials.

Students in India who score 1300 or above on the SAT will be recognized as Top Performers by the College Board at the end of April on an annual basis. Top Performers who demonstrate significant financial need, defined as family income less than INR 8,00,000 per annum, are eligible to receive a full-tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their program of study at KREA University. KREA University’s residential facility houses students from various backgrounds and perspectives. This diversity makes the campus an interesting place for the students to spend their student years. Comfortable personal living spaces and common areas at the three gender-specific residential towers are designed to facilitate more interaction between students. Students are provided with air-conditioned rooms with an attached bath on a twin sharing basis. Rooms are furnished with all essential amenities including cot, mattress, bed sheets, pillows, wardrobe, bookshelf, and a study table with chair. Each room has a well-furnished tiled bathroom which is cleaned every day by an efficient housekeeping team. Every residential tower has a common lounge for students to hang-out. There are recreational lounges for boys and girls separately, equipped with a refrigerator and microwave oven, TV room, cloakroom and other utilities like laundry service. A robust round-the-clock security system, with CCTV surveillance, keeps the campus safe and secure.
