Finance Companies which Hire at our College are HDFC Sales, Spandana Spoorti, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Karvy etc.
Sales are ITC,Airtel, Docomo, Asian Paints, and many other Sales and Marketing Companies visit KIMS
Average Salary being 2.6LPA highest being 5.5LPA and 85% of batch gets placed.
Alumni Network is very Huge as the college itself is of 38Year Old and there is Alumni Association which gets connected with each other and college conducts Alumni Meet Programme(DARPAN) every year.
Entrance Exams & Admissions :
Hello there, I studied MBA at Kousali Institute of Management Studies[KIMS], Dharwad.
About College: KIMS is Karnatak University Affiliated College which is named after its Founder Tammappa Kousali, It is in the premises of University itself.
Eligibility Criteria: Student who wants to perceive MBA at KIMS should be having a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent of Bachelor's, and Should give PGCET(Post Graduation Common Entrance Test) and if the rank is under the Cut-off then you can get Admission.
Admission Procedure: Once you get the rankings of PGCET then you will be asked to do Option Entry where you can choose colleges where PGCET rankings (there will be 5 choices to choose college so choose according to your rankings), once the selection of colege is done then you have to verify your documents you submitted online while applying.
Entrance exam: You have to give PGCET and get rank to get admission , there is no Management Quota for getting admission in KIMS so no other way of getting way except PGCET
The Fees structure is very Basic as it is a Government College for GM students its around 33k and for OBC its around 10k.
Typical Cutoffs are for GM its approximately 2500, and for reservations it varies every year.
Fees & Scholarships :
College fees is been answered in First paragraph, There will be many scholarship available at KIMS which you can apply for including Vidyashri , and its for all OBC students,
About Loans: Comparitively Fees are very affordable so generally Loan is not needed, based on your finanicial position you can apply for loan almost every bank gives loan so i would request you to make proper research before taking Loan about Rate of Interest and Subsidies given by Government.
Academics & Faculty :
Class Timings are, College will start 10.30AM and will be finished by 5.30 constituted by 1hr classes, Mode of teaching is by using Laptop ,Projector, BlackBoard assignments and Projects, and Quality of teaching is Moderate neither too good and not bad at all.
Over all Experience was very good at KIMS but it involved infrastructure problems.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities :
As its Government College Hostel Facility is available and Fees varies by Caste and generally its less than 6000k per year.
PG facility are there which cost 5k per month , other colleges ask for management cost where as our college is government.
Food in College is average while admitting we have to pay Management Association Fees which includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Tea, Cost of weekly Industrial Visits, Book, Uniform and many other Miscellaneous Expenses.
Infrastructure wise College is not so Good i would rate 3/10 for that.
Clubs & Associations :
There will be 4 Main events in KIMS college 1st SAMMILAN(induction for freshers), a Fun week, SAMAR( Sports events), DARPAN(Alumni meet and college day) and SAMRPAN(Farewell party)
