Library

The JJCET Library established in the year 1994 December was housed in a class room with 1500 books to start with. It is privileged to support the institute's march towards its vision “Stay a head”. The Library is well equipped with modern facilities & resources in the form of CD-ROM. Online databases, audio video cassettes, books, journals etc.

The Library transaction and library entries are carried out by Barcode Technology. It has the facility to Web OPAC-online search. So the library catalogue can be accessed through intranet, in future through internet. And the Library is being subscribed to INDEST AICTE- CONSORTIUM and utilizing the E-resources.

College library which is functioning under the open access system is having a total collection of 39,112 books. The approximate annual addition is about 1500 volumes.

• Circulation takes place through Barcode system.
• A modern digital library network with high speed internet access is also housed in the premises.
• E- Journal (Springer link) is available in our college.
• Reprographic facilities with printer & CD writer are provided for.
• Separate Sections for Reference Material, Book Bank, Periodicals, and Project Reports are provided for easy access.
• DDC Coding, bar coding, PALPAP Software facilitate faster processing.

Inter Library loan facility is arranged through DELNET, NIT-Tiruchi, for acquiring urgently required references.

Transport Facilities

The Management is providing transport facility for our students at competitive rates. The college transport department provides punctual service, besides ensuring safety and security to the students. More than 45 college buses help the students & staff to commute to the college from various places especially all city areas. Also it covers the following longer routes.

Hostel Facilities

There are 4 (Four) separate hostels for Boys and 2 (Two) separate hostels for Girls in the campus. The Girls Hostels can accommodate 700 girls and boys hostels can accommodate 1500 students. Separate messes are attached to the hostels providing quality and nutritious food in a hygienic environment. Only Vegetarian Food is provided in all messes. A recreation room with TV and provisions for indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, and Carom is available.

Medical officers visit the hostels every day. Deputy Wardens, Resident Tutors reside in the hostels and they take care of the discipline and welfare of the residents. There are separate generators as stand by for supply of electricity continuously. A car for emergency hostel use is in place for round the Clock use.
