The campus recruitment program conducted by the IAMR is a very vital activity for the students aspiring for appropriate placement in various organizations. A close interaction between the placement cell and various company executives has created an excellent placement record. The objective of the placement cell is to provide a job to each student.

Students being trained to meet the needs of the corporate/industry is the major activity of the placement team. They train students in interview skills through numerous group discussions and mock interview processes.
The placement team that comprises of students, faculty and placement officer, draw out a plan of action for training and the schedule of the interview in consultation with the corporates/industries. The placement team is actively involved in all the interactions with the corporate leaders, invite them for guest lectures, an internship in the industry during summer break and the final placement.
The Placement Cell at the Institute is taking care of in-plant training and apprentice training along with the placement activities. It is headed by a well-experienced Placement and Training Officer who assists the students in career guidance, placement and in liaisoning with Business Institutions and Industries. The placement cell also helps the students in developing contacts with the companies while undergoing on the job training and doing their project work for final placement in reputed organizations. The Training and Placement Cell at IAMR provides personal and career-related support to its students. The idea is to enable the students to effectively cope with life at College and later in their career as well.
The internship is one of the most valuable programmes of IAMR's curriculum. It provides an amazing opportunity to work in the real corporate world. The Institute works hard throughout the year for the internship placements of its students.
As a compulsory part of the curriculum, the students are required to undergo a Summer Internship with an organization for a period of 8 weeks. The Internship has two objectives. First, to give a platform to the students for the application of their theoretical knowledge and enhance their ability to define, diagnose and analyze a specific managerial problem and search for its appropriate solution. Second, to give the student a glimpse of the present corporate environment and an appreciation of the interpersonal skills required to excel in the workplace. Having handled a live problem, the student comes out of the Summer Internship with a much better understanding of intricate issues being faced by the organization, a greater appreciation of operating variables, supplemented by cognizance of the larger business environment.
The placement team at IAMR believes in preparing students for immediate placements in the industry. The placement process begins in September with the compilation of students' profiles after which the placement brochure is prepared and printed. Students, along with faculty members visit industries from October to December and distribute placement brochures in print as well as electronic forms. The companies are invited to visit the campus for pre-placement presentations. Companies start visiting the campus for pre-placement discussion from December to the end of January.
The Final Placements for the graduating students is facilitated through the following processes-
The Pre-Placement Talks or Company Presentations provide an opportunity for the Companies to interact with the students, understand their expectations and appraise them of the job requirements and job profiles offered.
This process is usually conducted in February and can continue till the fortnight before the Final Placements. Companies are required to conduct a Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) so that they can interact with the students. Companies may invite CVs of interested students and shortlist students on the basis of their profiles before coming to campus. On-campus, Placement takes place through the following mechanisms:
Spot Offers- If a company makes an offer to a student before completing the entire interview process with all short-listed candidates, such an offer is considered a Spot Offer.
Final Selection list- A company may interview all the short-listed candidates before arriving at a list of selected students. Such a list is considered as a Final Selection List.

The placement cell at IAMR conducts various campus placement and recruitment drives, pre-placements talks with companies, internships, etc.
