Indian Institute of Science Education and Research or known as IISER is an autonomous science research and education institute which was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2006. It is located in Nadia District, West Bengal. Through the NIT Amendment Act, it got promoted to the new status of the Institute of National Importance. It offers research courses in Science.
The eligibility for the Indian IISER, Kolkata admission is to be passed in 12th with 75 % marks in total. For MS in Space Physics, the eligibility is to have a BE/B.Tech in any engineering field. The admission is done through three channels that are JEE-Advance, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), SCB. Those who scored in JEE-Advance and KVPY will get direct admission through the cut off list produced by both entrance test.
