• For admission to Ph.D. Program in IIM Visakhapatnam, Candidate must have completed a Master's degree that is Bachelor's degree done in 10+2+3 pattern followed by a master's degree or a Postgraduate Diploma of 2 years in any discipline, with at least 55 %  marks in Bachelor's As well as in Master's degree. Or
• The candidate should have professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50% and B.Com degree with 55% marks. Or
• The applicant should have completed a 4 years / 8 semester Bachelor's degree in 10+2+4 pattern with at least 6.5 CGPA.
• 5% relaxation is given to the SC, ST and PWD candidates.
• Candidates will be selected based on the applicant's performance in GMAT/GRE/CAT/ GATE/ JRF (NET) score, past academic performance, and Personal interview performance.

• IIMV provides financial and infrastructural support to the PhD Programme students. The Ph.D. students will receive a stipend of INR 30000 per month (in addition to tuition fee waiver) for up to five years to cover their living expenses.
• Start-up grant (in year 1) of INR 50000 for expenses on purchasing hardware, software, etc.
• Contingency Grant (annually) of INR 25000 for expenses on purchasing books, out-of-station visits for data collection, other research-related work, etc.
• Post Comprehensive Qualifying Examination stipend increment, monthly INR 3000.
