Placements & Internships : I am currently doing an internship with Getmyuni, and a stipend offered is INR 6,000 per month. Some of the companies that hire from IIM, Sambalpur are Bajaj Allianz, Aditya Birla Capital, Deloitte India, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Amul, Vedanta, SBI Life, Tata Steel BSL, HDFC Bank, IBM, Ramco Systems, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree, Motilal Oswal, JustDial, etc. Key roles that have been offered in IIM Sambalpur is sales, marketing, consulting and general management. In 2020 IIM, Sambalpur recorded 100% placement, with an average annual CTC of INR 10,86,000, where the highest was registered as a yearly CTC of INR 18,92,000.IIM Sambalpur has a dedicated committee to build an alumni network called IARC (Industry and Alumni committee). To enhance the alumni networks, IARC has come with a platform called Almaconnect, which connects alumni and students on a common platform to increase the network.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The candidate should have a bachelors degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates Final selection would be based on their school marks, profile, work experience, CAT score, performance on WAT and personal interview and other criteria if applicable They should appear for CAT, an entrance exam for a graduate management programme conducted by IIMs. The candidates who clear the cutoff would be eligible for the personal appearance process, consisting of two parts that are Written Ability Test( WAT) and personal interview. For IIM, Sambalpur CAT cutoff is 94% (general).

Fees & Scholarships : INR 6,59,000 is the PGP course fee per year at Indian Institute of Management, [IIM] Sambalpur. There are scholarships for students at IIM Sambalpur. Students take loans to pay the fees. IIM Sambalpur has tie-ups with banks at Burla(Sambalpur), and they can connect with the bank at ease.

Academics & Faculty : The class timing usually starts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, but it depends on the schedule. Exams are taken in two phases: mid-term and end-term. Students will have to invest more time in their assignments and projects. Overall the daily routine at IIM Sambalpur is hectic. IIM Sambalpur has introduced a new pedagogy called filliped classroom. As per this classroom, teachers will be facilitators and will not teach the basics. Instead, they will teach us practical application of the topics in real life via case analysis. Overall the quality and method of teaching is satisfactory. My overall experience is terrific. Daily presentations, assignments, projects keep us occupied, help us connect with our peers and understand how to work in team and groups.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are three hostels on the campus—two hostels for boys and one for girls. Students should live at the campus only. They can't live in PG's or elsewhere. The monthly fee for the mess is INR 6,000.

Clubs & Associations : There are 13 committees - seven technical and four none specialised clubs on IIM Sambalpur. ETHOS is an annual event under which every club and committee organise their affairs and competition. There are many conclaves, events and competitions organised by clubs and committees independent from Ethos also. Every technical club has its competition, and the events will be simultaneously held on the two-day event. This year we had TEDeX, Marmagya(annual business conclave) and other events. Overall the college life is terrific with a lot of fun and knowledge.
