As there are several courses and programs offered at IIM, Indore the application process varies for a few courses. Check out the detailed application process in the section below.

How To Apply?

To apply for admissions to all the programs offered at IIM Indore, the candidates must qualify for the common qualifying entrance exam and go through the selection process of IIM Indore. Now, let’s learn in detail about the application process of each and every program.

Application Process - PGP And PGP-HRM

Candidates aspiring to get admission for any 2-years postgraduate program must appear for the CAT entrance exam. And register for admission to PGP at IIM Indore while appearing for the test. The candidates can register for the same on the official website of CAT entrance examination.

Application Process - EPGP

In order to apply for the executive Postgraduate program, the applicants must submit their duly filled application form on the specified date with the application processing fee of INR 5900 for Indian candidates and USD 118 for foreign applicants. 

*Note: The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Application Process - IPM

The eligible applicants can apply for admission to the IPM by submitting their application online after payment of the application fee of INR 4,130 for general category. The applicants belonging to SC/ST/PwD category will have to pay an INR 2,065. Also, they must provide and attach the supporting documents for the category they belong to. 

Candidates applying under EwC category must submit supporting documents to show their eligibility to apply under Economically Weaker Section.

Application Process - FPM And EFPM

Candidates seeking admission for the fellowship program management are required to submit their application form with an application fee of INR 1000 for general category. And INR 500 for other backward categories like SC/ST/PwD. In addition, they must submit valid documents supporting their reservation category.

Candidates willing to apply for Executive fellowship program management are required to follow the same procedure as for FPM and pay an application fee of INR 3,000 + GST.

The admission process for all the programs offered at IIM Indore follows different procedures for a few courses. The institute follows a two-stage structure for admission. Based upon the score secured in the common qualifying examination the candidates are selected in the first stage satisfying the eligibility criteria. In the second stage, the selected candidates are filter based on the final composite score (FCS), which consists of a written aptitude test and personal interview.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognised University for IIM Indore admissions 2020
  • Candidates must have a valid CAT / GMAT entrance scorecard
  • There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates

Eligibility Criteria for Executive MBA

  • Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from any recognized University.
  • They should have a valid CAT / GMAT score
  • Those who apply to the Executive MBA should have a minimum of 5 years of Managerial/ Entrepreneurial/ Professional experience after completing their graduation

Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Banking (PGCPB)

  • Graduate / Post Graduate from Universities recognized by Association of Indian Universities with minimum 50% marks in either graduation or post-graduation (or its equivalent) with at least two years of work experience
  • Freshers with professional qualifications like CA/ICWA/CS/CFA/CFP are also eligible to apply for the programme

General Management Program for Executives

  • For People with Professional Qualifications such as ICWAI, CA & ACS.  At least 02 Years of work experience‚Äč
  •  For Post Graduate/Engineering degree holder/Professional Degree holder: At least 3 years of work experience
  • For other degree holders- (B.Sc., B.Com, B.A.): At least 5 years of work experience
  • For diploma holders: At least 10 years of work experience
  • Work experience includes both professional experiences as well as entrepreneurial experience for all the applicants

Integrated Program in Business Analytics (IPBA)

  • 50% in Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline.
  • A valid GMAT / CAT / GRE / Jigsaw Administered Test score. The score should be within 05 years on the date of submission of application
  • Minimum 1+ years of work experience

Eligibility Criteria for FPM and EFPM

Candidates seeking admission for FPM and EFPM must satisfy any one of the following eligibility criteria.

  • Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate
  • PG Diploma with at least 60% aggregate
  • A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 50% aggregate along with a BCom/Degree with at least 60% aggregate
  • A five year integrated master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60%
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year/8-semester) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent

Eligibility Criteria - IPM

  • Only candidates born on 1st August 1990 or before that are eligible. For SC/ST/PwD and other Non-creamy backward category candidates, a relaxation of 5years is given
  • Candidates having 10th/SSC or 12th/HSC are eligible for the IPM Program
  • All the candidates are expected to score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to satisfy the eligibility criteria

Apart from the above-mentioned criteria, the applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of managerial or entrepreneurial experience.

Eligibility Criteria - PGP And PGP-HRM

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks
  • The candidate must ensure that the Bachelor’s degree qualification is of minimum 3 years after the second year at school
  • Final year students or students waiting for their result can also apply provided they submit a letter from the dean or the Principal supporting the same

Indian Institute Of Management [IIM] Indore Selection criteria For Admission 2020

The selection process mainly consists of three stages that are as follows

  • Eligibility criteria 
  • WAT Test 
  • Personal interview

The applicant must score the required cut off in the qualifying entrance examination such as CAT exam. Depending on the percentile obtained, the candidate will be selected for the next round which is the written aptitude test. It is the test conducted by the institute. In the final, the candidates will be taken for a personal interview and the selection will be made on the basis of the final composite score.

Reservation At Indian Institute Of Management [IIM] Indore

According to the Government of India requirement, 27% of the seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD).

Entrance Exam Accepted At IIM Indore

The entrance exam required to apply for admission at IIM Indore is the CAT examination. CAT is a common qualifying examination for management studies conducted once every year in the month of November or December. The CAT exam for the year 2020 will be conducted on 29th November.

I am currently pursuing the 5 year integrated programme in management (IPM) from IIM Indore. And It has been an amazing experience. You have to apply for the IPMAT which has two stages. I) Aptitude test II) WAT + Interview About 20000 students apply for IPMAT out of which about 1000 are called for interview and finally 120 are selected.

The eligibility criteria was 12th grade from board exams. I had to attend an online MCQ test with maths and English questions, followed by a written ability test and a personal interview. The cutoffs are different for different categories. There is a specific minimum score in the entrance test.

yes, you are eligible for IIM Indore application process but you have to score good marks in CAT exam conducted by IIMs every year, if you clear the required cut-off percentile marks then only you shortlisted for other round i.e GD and PI round.

final merit list is based on your performance in GD & PI round.
